Re: Lightscribe printing...but not what I want it to.

Welcome to the forum

Someone else here had the same problem. IIRC, they solved it by getting a new batch of media. Also yet another person had the same problem, but it was a one-time occurence.

What discs are you using?

Edit: I *think* I can see a bit of an HP logo there. Maybe try some Verbatim. If those produce the same results, I'd say it's probably the drive.

Ah, thankya much.

Yeah, they're HP disks. Do people tend to have problems with them?

Also, I'm using a Lite-On LH-20A1L. I don't know if that helps diagnose this or not, but there it is heh.

Re: Lightscribe printing...but not what I want it to.

To be honest, I haven't heard of any problems with the HPs, but I guess there's always a first time!

Ahhh, thanks - I have the LiteOn LH-20A1H, and LS with the Verbatims works really nice for me (I use SureThing as well).

Re: Lightscribe printing...but not what I want it to.

Well Hello,

I'm new here
And also bought my first Lightscribe drive.
And also I have the same problems when i burn a label.

I search for a nice pic. and put it in Surething or Nero.
Hit the Burn/Print button and wait.
After awhile it says a error accurred in surething
Or in Nero it says an internall error has accurred.
So it doesn't finish.

When i take out the dvd I only see those stupid black rings
No pics or whatsoever.

My drive is a: Sony Nec AD-7191S SATA Firmware 1.01 (latest)
DVd Used: Philips dvd+R media version 1.2
OS: Windows XP

So hopefully somone has a answer for me/us for this problem.

Thanx
