IP4300 disc printing problem

Hi I got IP4300 Canon, played for a while already.
But i never satisfy with the printing result.
tried LG DVD-R 16X, Imation DVD+R 16X, Verbatim DVD+R 8X, but all have one problem, that is bleeding and poor graphics.

the worst part is that, every color that is next to black (no matter black thin line or black fills), will bleed, resulting unpleasant effect. Although same happen to all darker color include purple, but black is the most bad one.

I don't know why, but the only thing i can think is it prints too fast, so the ink does not able to dry in time, however, i did try to adjust the ink time, doesn't help though.

Re: IP4300 disc printing problem

Are you telling the printer to print in "Best" quality in the dialog box, just prior to printing ?
On my iP3000 there are two choices for printable disc "media type"...
One is marked (recommended). That's the one I choose with excellent results on Verbatim Silver.

Re: IP4300 disc printing problem

I have an IP5000 and have never seen bleeding on any of the disk's I have printed on. This includes cd and dvd.
Are you using the "best" setting? which might explain the problem. I have no idea where you live so it's possible that temperature and humidity may also be a problem.

Are you using "inkjet printable" discs?

Re: IP4300 disc printing problem

yes of cos i am using inkjet printable disc, the result is just not that good , probably only 5/10 only.
i am not talking about huge bleeding, but all the bleeding are eye visible.
no, i use default normal quality, (i tried best once, also bleed)
i tried both cd printing recommended type and other type, same.
just one little better one a bit worse.
i tried also manual adjust the strength of the color to 10~20, same.
i will scan the disc and show u guys later
