CD & DVD Printing and Labeling Discuss, Help with cd-labelprint at International Chat: Hardware related forum; I had to buy Acoustica CD/DVD label print 3.04. It allowed changing the outer diameter to 119mm for the verbatim printables. I don't even use the canon software anymore. I tried using a cracked version but liked the software enough to pay the $20 or so dollars

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

Gary,

You da man! I was going crazy on this one, even cotemplating writing to Canon and some such. Work's a treat. Got some discs with an inner diameter of 22mm so changed registery to -210, voila.

I guess the only thing to be wary of (as you point out) is because its a relative change, if you've previously altered the default 43mm (as I had), you need to keep that in mind.

Cheers,

Emmjay

There is a bug in the CD printing application though, ironically the same as
the Epson PrintCD application. It states the inner diameter can not be less
than 17mm, however you can only adjust the inner diameter up and down 10mm
from the default 43mm, making the minimum diameter usable through this
interface 33mm. As I need down to 20mm with my stock of Pioneer media, I
found the solution is the same as with the Epson. You have to modify the
registry manually:

The key to change is:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MediaNavigation\CDLabelPrint\1.0\Settings\SizeAd
just\.Standard CD (12cm)]

Change the "Inner" value to the number of mm times 10, use negative for
smaller. Its relative to 43mm. For example, to adjust 23mm smaller (giving
20mm bore) change: "Inner" to -230.

Then in CD-Label, open the "Adjust Circle Size", then select ok (don't
change anything). Change made! This does not work with the Outer diameter.

Regards Gary

You can never achieve this with CD-LabelPrint, not even with a registry-hack . You have to use other software.

I actually don't mind any more . The secret here is in perfect alignment, so you'll get a uniform hair-thin lining around the printed area, which accentuates the label Two or three test prints should allow you to perfectly center the labels and find the correct offsets. No more wiping off excess ink from the non-printable edge of the disc (which never dries otherwise). I now set the inner diameter to 20 mm (in stead of 19) for Verbatim as well.

Help with cd-labelprint text wrapping

I am using CD-LabelPrint 1.3 that came with my Canon IP4300 printer. Generally I think it is very good BUT it really bugs me that I can't get text to wrap and have to enter manual new lines. Am I missing some thing or won't it word wrap.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have found that if an image is copied in an image editing program and pasted into LabelPrint the file size is very much bigger than adding a JPEG image file.

@splice - One thread/post is enough about getting in touch with the user. Bump your thread if necessary, but please don't post the same request in other threads.

Further posts of the same will be removed.

I'll correct the name in the post for you. In future, just post to the thread you made with "Bump" - that will bring the thread back to the top.

Here is the EASY solution :

When in cd label print , do the following :

1. Go to File menu , and press "Select paper.."

2. When there, press the "New" tag on the bottom .. then
u get a new "label profile setup.

3. Name it e.g Verbatim Fullface, set Inner diameter to 21 mm , and
outer diameter to 118 (sadly it cant be anythin greater than 118 .. but verbatim fullface shoud be 119 mm) so this is a problem i'm workin on myself.

4. Now u can print fullface labels, without any tweaks. and yeah the +/- adjustments is max 10 mm on the selected profile.. but when u make a new one , u never have to adjust (only if u use different discs.. just make a workin profile for every disc)

Hope this helps out more.

But if anyone know how to get the app to print 119 mm outer size, THAT would be very helpful..

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

Hi, it is possible to print full face in CD LabelPrint.

It requires editing the regedit, follow these steps.

Click Start->Run-> type "regedit" and click ok.

Then click and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MediaNavigation\CDLabel Print\1.0\Settings\SizeAdjust\.Standard CD (12cm)

When you click on .Standard CD (12cm) three values appear on the right hand side. Double click Inner and change it to -200 and make outer 20, then close regedit.

When you now open CD LabelPrint the full face will be printable.

NOTE! DON'T CLICK THE ADJUST ADJUST CIRCLE SIZE BUTTON IN CD LABEL PRINT OR THE VALUES WILL BE RESET!!!!

Hope this helps!

bandit13,

I'm not a CDLP user, but if your Registry edit works, there will be many dry eyes in the CDLP camp.
Thanks for posting it.

I might be smarter to just use the provided tools in CDLP to print any type disc, full face or not. Registry changes are not needed.

If you're trying to make an image fill the entire disc, simply insert it as a background. It won't matter what size it is.
