CD & DVD Printing and Labeling Discuss, Help with cd-labelprint at International Chat: Hardware related forum; Just done that..WARNING this doesnt work for the Verbatim 119 ones..i did it and i came all out wrong. Didnt even adjust properly and stuff. I would definitely recommend Canon Label Print over Nero as it is way too complicated.

It's a starting off point, you need to adjust it for your individual printer since alignment is a little bit different for each one.

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

I'm using Microsoft Plus CD Labeler and CD Stomper labels. It gives the outer and inner circle dimensions for the label for standard face but I want to use full face. The file in notepad says 12, 15, 130, 134 (outer circle for CD labels) and on the next line is 51, 54, 92, 94 (inner circle for CD labels). I've been changing the numbers all around and still can't get the inner circle the correct dimensions for full face. The extension is a cdl file. How can I correctly reduce the size of the inner circle to use full face?

Thanks

What Tray Letter are you using because the template is for Tray B. Canon has Tray B, C, D, and now F so it has to be adjusted for each of them.

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

Hi there, This is my first post.
I am new here and just came across this thread.
Hope I am not out of line in understanding what is discussed here.
Just wanted to add that I am using the Epson R320 printer and am just learning how to print to disc.
Also have yet to find which printable discs are the best to use.
I picked up a sample pack and right away had a "coaster" created on my Pio 640 DVR using a Ritek White Inkjet Printable which is included in the 7 brands, so crossed them off my list.

My Printer came with the Epson Print CD which lets me go from 20-50 for inner and 70-120 for outer diameter.
Here is a graphic of what I choose from if that is what the discussion is above.

I have been buying and using SureThing glossy labels which I liked real well but figured as long as my printer has the option and if a cheaper way, then I'd try that.

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

I am using iP5000 with Mac OS X, and when I try to print my CD it first tells me to select the printer and the CD thing and scale. So I do that, and select CD Tray B and everything's in order. But when I click OK after that it goes

"The Paper Settings are not correct. Please check the paper size, magnification ratio, and the paper orientation."

In another forum the guy downloaded the new CD-Labelprint version and I did that but it still didn't work. Any ideas?

I don't use a Mac but if I recall there are some extra dialog boxes that need to be setup properly in order for it to work. I remember another user getting stuck and then finding out he hadn't set a couple of dialog boxes.

Also you should be using CD-Label Print 1.30 for OS X or whatever is the latest.

Printing what? Labels?
Do you mean Photoshop has a cd-label or disc printing option?

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

I think you can print to disc from any image program, dean, if you select the CD-tray under printing options. It'll be trial and error to set the right top and side margins for perfect centering though (could make a mess in the printer if you're totally wrong).

P.S. Like your location - my motto: It's more fun to be looking for something that doesn't exist then to think you have found it...

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

Yeah...you´re probably right about the print-any-image cd-tray thing, but let´s get someone else to try it
If I set the wrong dimensions for my discs I get a bit of "over-spray" even using a proper cd print prog. I did it once I think...for some reason I was over by a millimeter or two.

Location...what? You mean Cindy doesn´t exist? Noooo...

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

There are templates available online for Photoshop label printing. I've seen them posted at a couple forums. Seems like a lot of unnecessary work to me, I just save an image from PS and then load it into Canon's program for printing. Eliminates any positioning/size issues.

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

Exactly what I use...everything else is too much hard (unnecessary) work.

(Nero has a program too...I´ve used it...was ok...but...)

thanks, just what I needed for my full face T-Y discs. I don't mind the slight white as my 4300 sometimes is slightly off by half a mill !

Re: Help with cd-labelprint

CD-Labelprint that comes with your printer (and downloadable from Canons website) is hands down the easiest program.
