Epson cx595 w/CIS error message

I just purchased a CIS system with auto reset chips($60 on Ebay) for an Epson CX595. When I install the CIS I continually get the error message"cartridges not recognized". I reinstall the factory cart's and it prints fine. No matter what I do I cannot get the printer to recognize the CIS cartridges. I searched other threads and did not find a solution, so I thought I would ask if this is a common problem and see if anyone might have a solution.

Re: Epson cx595 w/CIS error message

I had similar problem with the chipset I got from ebay. By googling online, I found that the manufacture date and firmware version seems to be very important when it comes to R280, 380 or rx595, 1400... so always check the date and your suppliers before heading to 3rd party stuff. Here has some info.

Re: Epson cx595 w/CIS error message

I thought the link provided would solve my problem, but the 595 does not have a reset button or chipbar holders. I am now only getting the "not recognized" message on the first cartridge(yellow). Does anyone have any other ideas?
