I've had some printable discs for months, perhaps half a year, that I haven't used and the surface is fine. I can't see any reason why it would go bad.

Would be a pain to keep up with what is on the disc wouldn't it?

I was thinking of writing on the lable lightly in pencil or light colored marker. I'm not sure if I want to get an inkjet printer yet. I'm looking into it. The cheapest one that will make DVD labels that I found so far was at Best Buy for $115. Add in the cost of ink and that will pay for the difference in quite a few LightScribble disks.

I would watch CompUSA or TigerDirect as the Epson printers go on sale there all the time for less than $100.
