Best Professional Solution

I am looking for a better solution for producing waterproof, scratch proof, high resolution labels, at almost retail quality, out of my basement.

So far, my best results have been with a used Rimage Amigo II w/ Everest I printer.

I really am impressed at how Silver discs look when you have the right design and font aliasing, however no matter how many times I clean the printer, and discs, 25%-50% keep showing up with spots! The resolution also leaves small/fine text and graphic edges soft and blurry.

I also have a BravoPro Autoprinter that makes Sharp and Gorgeous prints with very few errors. but of course they are not protected from moisture and scratches.

I realize I have a couple obvious options and am looking for some guidance.

a) Purchase a Accent II Laminator - I like this option, however, from samples that I've seen, sometimes depending on the colors the protective layer alters the color and overproduces rainbow effects - Not Retail Enough IMO

b) Upgrade to a Everest III - This is what I am most leaning to as it could be made to go with my system, however I am concerned about spots appearing on discs.
Also concerned if the resolution is upto inkjet quality. I have requested samples from vendors, however the samples sent didn't appear to have much of a improvement. It could have been the designs...

c) Inventory Protected Inkjet Media - In my experience, the thermal discs are more protected than inkjet. I have yet to destroy a Everest Print with moisture of scratching, only heat has destroyed the Everest label.

I have been trying to do my research but haven't found any solutions I am ready to move on and would appreciate some experienced feedback.

Sorry for the long post....

Re: Best Professional Solution

Not too many people here can afford or need a Rimage Amigo II w/ Everest I printer. They are very expensive. Most use the Epson Disc Title printer. At a price point of about 100.00 it does the job but not as well as a Rimage. I hope you get some good feedback but I fear that not too many here have the need for such a printer.

Re: Best Professional Solution

While it may be overkill, I hope there are a couple users that can lend some feedback.
