Re: making Flash Media Bootable

You can make usb and other hardware bootable with: FlashBoot v1.3.0.124

"FlashBoot is a tool to create bootable USB disks, USB Flash Memory keys and cards mainly."

Re: making Flash Media Bootable

I have a bootable 1GB Memorex usb stick and a bootable 650MB CD.
How can I get the CD image to the USB stick and be bootable?
Any ideas/software?

Thanks.

I used the HP DOS DriveKey util for making a SanDisk Cruzer micro 512MB
bootable and the HP WIN DriveKey util for making the Memorex stick bootable.
For some reason, the WIN util did not work on the SanDisk stick.

There is a tool called PEtoUSB, but that's for getting a bartPE cd to flash or usb drive. But Bart is very flexible, so you can custom-create your own bootable BartPE CD to get onto your flash drive...

Re: making Flash Media Bootable

Easy way is to make a boot floppy and copy to a folder. Then add the files from the cd you want to boot. At the A:\ prompt after you boot the cd, type in the .exe file name for the cd. It will run the program. The Win98 boot floppy works for all OS. Use boot with CD support option.

Re: making Flash Media Bootable

Thank you, herojig.
DL'ed PEtoUSB, now I will dig up my stick and give it a try.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, but this thread was dormant for a long while, so I didn't check often!

@slytrans69
I want an OS on it, for install purposes only, so I do not want any typing a path/file
