Re: Corsair Flash Memory

I bought one of these for $92 American and this thing is blazing fast, no corruption in files, no crc errors, its smooth and I am SOOOOO happy I bought it. I recomment this to anyone that is financially in the market... I mean c'mon, its shock prrof, water-proof, and a 10yr warranty... WOW

I am extremely happy with mine and already convinced 3 friends to buy them, none of my friends have been dissappointed thus far.

Re: Corsair Flash Memory

Water-proof sounds good. The only USB flash card I have is just 128MB and not water-proof.

I read it before, but it is an HDD, not flash. That is why it is so heavy and large. A 1GB MicroSD card weighs only 1 gram.

Quote:
Type of Drive
External

Capacity
8 GB of storage space

Interface
Hi Speed USB 2.0 or 1.1 compatible

Dimensions
1.8 x 1.7 x .5 inches / 45.7 x 43.1 x 12.7 mm

Weight
1.4 oz / 40g

Warranty
2 years Europe/1 year elsewhere
A 2.5-inch 120GB HDD weighs about 100 grams. 40 grams for a portableUSB device, too much.

Re: Corsair Flash Memory

I could if I could get some at the same cost. MicroSD cards though based on the same NAND flash technology of similar speeds are far more expensive yet. A 1GB MicroSD costs in Seoul about US$35-$40.

Flash needs to ge 4x faster and 4x cheaper by next year.

Re: Corsair Flash Memory

So far all 8GB+ drives I seen have been huge, and least too large and bulky to carry for my tasts. The 4GB drives seem to be the cut-off barrier thus far for capacity:unit size ratio.
