Solid State Drive & Flash Memory Discuss, changing flash memory bios serial no at International Chat: Hardware related forum; hello every one for some reasons I need to know if there is a possible way to change flash memory bios serial no, is it possible to use hex edit for this if so how ? thanks

I doing some research on using flash memory serial number for software protection, and I want to know if a hex editor or any other way is capable of alter this serial

I hope not, otherwise fakes could "overrun" all markets.
