Ok, heb het net gezien. Het schijnt dat eigenlijk sinds afgelopen maand het gebruik van audio kopieer beveiligingen in NL op grote schaal wordt toegepast. Consumenten lopen tegen problemen aan tijdens het afspelen in dvd-spelers of mp3-cdspelers.

Goede zaak dat dit for mainstream NL in een programma als Radar (of door de consumentenbond) aan de kaak wordt gesteld.

De dame van de overkoepelende organisatie van de platenmaatschappijen verstopte zich heel laf achter het argument dat men niet op de hoogte is dat bepaalde afspeel-apparatuur de beveiligde cds niet kan afspelen... Yeah right... Midbar (Cactus Data Shield) of Sony (Key2audio) kunnen echt wel precieze cijfertjes tonen op welk percentage afspeel-apparatuur de cds niet correct afgespeeld kan worden. Ze nemen deze 'incompatibiliteit' gewoon voor lief, over de rug van de consument....

De nvpi vroeg tijdens de uitzending om informatie betreffende spelers die de cd's niet zouden kunnen lezen zodat de beveiligingen verbeterd zouden kunnen worden.
Echter de digitale geluidsdragers met kopieerbeveilging mogen helemaal geen audio cd's genoemd worden. Als ik een audio cd koop, ga ik ervan uit dat hij voldoet aan de opgestelde normen (als ik in de snackbar een kroket bestel en een frikandel krijg trek je ook aan de bel)
Zou het een idee zijn om de nvpi te overladen met cd spelers waarin de cd het "niet" zou doen? ;-)

(ooit lang geleden heeft een platenmij ooit geexpirimenteerd met een beveiliging op de cd razorblade romance van HIM, die het ook in nauwelijks een cd speler deed. Uiteindelijk kon iedere consument de cd omruilen voor een niet beveiligd exemplaar)

als ik op dat Radar-forum-logo druk wordt gewoon de frontpage van de site opnieuw geladen... werkt zeker alleen met Internet Exploder ofzo?

Hier op de zaak werkt ´ie wel (met MSIE), dus het ligt inderdaad aan de Radar-site, die blijkbaar alleen Microsoft-vriendjes wil ontvangen...
