| XP 64 and ripping HD DVD I hooked up my xbox 360 hd dvd drive to my desktop but I can't get the free dvd fab hd dvd decrypter to see the discs. I planned on ripping the ones I watch the most and backing them up to a hard drive (I planned on getting a bigger one for my desktop and using my current 300 gig in an enclosure). I was wondering if this is because of my os (XP 64) or if the free software just won't rip hd formats. If its because of my OS would attaching the drive to my much slower 32 bit windows box allow me to rip HD DVD even though it isn't nearly fast enough to play them I did download the trial of Any DVD hoping that would do it, but DVD Fab asked me to disable it. I saw that Any DVD has a rip option but I don't know if its worth it to me (granted I've spent quite a bit on my hd dvd collection, but I think my player will fail long before the discs so who knows if backing them up is worth it). |

| Re: XP 64 and ripping HD DVD Try this thread genaldar: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f116/fabdvd...-discs-243748/ You might want to try some other discs as results with FabDVD HD appear inconsistent. Regards, Allan |

My problem is it didn't even recognize there was a disc in the drive. Granted I only tried the two I had at my desk (extra copy of Bourne Identity and 300 that came with my stand alone player). Has anyone gotten it to work in xp 64 and if so with what discs? | |
