How come it costs $19.95 more to upgrade from Gold to Platinum?

Platinum is only 49.99
Gold is 39.99

Upgrade Gold to Platinum is 19.95

That would make the upgrade 39.99 + 19.95 = 59.94

That's almost $10 more than if you had bought Platinum in the first place.

I can't pretend to know the business model, however, one can assume that the $10 difference at initial purchase is incentive to buy Platinum in the first place.

I think you are totally correct and really, the choice is the individual consumers.

It is up to DVD Fab to set the prices based on their business model and up to you whether you want to buy it.

You also need to realize that the pay processor charges fengtao fees for all transactions, so FVDFab does not get all of the price that you pay. Some of the processors have a standard fee plus a percentage. It is hard to get a business account for a small company to process their own credit cards, even businesses like Walmart etc. have to pay 5-6% to the Credit Card company.

i heard a few years back where wal-mart was threatening Master Card, if they didnt lower their rates, wal-mart was going to drop them. also i know several small business around my area that take credit cards but have a minimum purchase because of the fees.

now as to why the upgrade is $10 more, seems HAMsmoke said it best.
