Re: Trouble With Saw Iv

if using dvd fab hd decrypter...try running it through fixvts before you use dvdshrink or whatever...also make sure you're using the latest beta version.

I made a perfect backup today with DVDFab Platnium 4.0.5.1 beta. No problems at all in full disc mode.

Re: Trouble With Saw Iv

I had issues as well, alls i did was take the bad copies and put them in to check to see if protection was removed... some bad cells still lingured so i re-ripped the burned copy again and Saw IV works fine.

Good luck if that helps

Re: Trouble With Saw Iv

I also had no problems whatsover with this flick, R1, Platinum 4.0.5.1. Beta. Did Full Disc with Pathplayer options enabled in order to jump to main title.
Also did customize, title 1 only, no menu.

We'll be glad to try and help members having problems, but post details.

Per Fengtao...

4.0.5.1 Beta (Jan 13, 2008)
- New: Added support for a new copy protection as found on "SAW IV", (US).

Re: Trouble With Saw Iv

No problems here. Copied the whole thing except for FBI warnings. Works great!

Thanks Fengtao and Ting.

By the way, anybody else buy their Saw IV at Circuit City? $14.99 and it came with a free film cell. Kind of cool.

You may have a bad source disc, take it back and try another.

Re: Trouble With Saw Iv

I was able to rip and can burn to DL disc but cant shrink it with dvd shrink? Seems one file is split many times. I was however able to extract movie only in DVD shrink.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong to shrink the whole disc?

Yes, It was the most recent beta. It worked fine but this is the 2nd time in a few weeks that I could not shrink the whole disc. The last time was with SAW 3.

Re: Trouble With Saw Iv

I've tried riping this movie also with dvddecrypter and ripit4me with no luck.

The problem I'm having seems to be related to how they named the CD. They have named it " <Saw_IV_Unrated> ". When dvddecrypter is used it tries to create a directory named " <Saw_IV_Unrated> " and Windows XP does not allow the "<>" in directory names.

Anyway around this?

I cannot speak for ripit4me as its old and unsupported, I do not use it, but DVDFab Decrypter cut through this tile like butter.
