DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, Trouble burning Semi-Pro at Copy Movie forum; I finally have success with the full movie and movie only widescreen or the fullscreen but I had to have another program running in the background. The actual running time of the movie is 1:31.19.

Re: Trouble burning Semi-Pro

I backed up the movie only version and there were too many options to pick from as far as the 16:9 version. There were 4 versions. I picked one, backed it up and at the end of the movie, it just went blank.... no credits, nothing. If I back up the full movie, the quality won't be that great. Being a movie buff, I just want to preserve my originals which are housed in the DVD 400 Disc player. I use the back ups for the other rooms in the house. I guess I really don't need to see the credits.... It's just that, when I looked at the movie on the original, movie credits showed.
Anybody's thoughts?????

Scan to the end of the movie and see if you get the credits!

Glad to see some others are getting it to.

For the rest is it possible that we have a lot of bad presses out there?

Even using DVDFab 5.0.2.8 Beta I too could only get to 98.08%, but using AnyDVD to rip it to HD then copy with Fab worked great!

Would you expand a bit on the setting for ANYDVD and DVDFAB - were they the defaults? I am trying it now but it seems to be taking a very long time. Tried copying the movie to my hard drive with ANYDVD but got an error?

Re: Trouble burning Semi-Pro

I didn't copy to the hard drive, just followed the above post from bschuster, they were the default for anydvd and just let it scan (not copy to hard drive) then open FAB and burn normally, but I burn DL media at 6X not 2.4

Thanks - am trying it your way now. Much slower than other copies!! I am burning to SL at 4x - if that does not work I will try a DL. I always elect to burn as slowly as possible - get great results that way and hardly any coasters! Use three computers connected via a 4 unit KVM switch so I can burn and with a single click switch computers to check the posts, etc. Multi-tasking with full power to each task!

Re: Trouble burning Semi-Pro

Anyone who is reading the AnyDVD forums knows that it too has problems with Semi Pro. They have found out however that Titleset 7, evidently a preview that starts by showing a motel, is what causes all the difficulty. Therefore, someone should try the Customize option in DVDFab, uncheck Title 7, and see what happens.

I do not own the disk, so cannot comment on anything firsthand.

Re: Trouble burning Semi-Pro

Region 1 Rated Ver

The last 5-6 minutes of movie gets truncated every time.
The movie just ends abruptly without credits or anything else.

I tried Full Disc, Movie Only, Customize with PP w/o PP,
I tried WS and FF.

I've tried rip to HDD and then disc, I've tried direct to disc,
same result.

(The analyze starts fine, the rip and burn run fine.
I just loose the last few minutes... like several other posters).

I also tried Shrink and Ripit4Me, both just hang and do nothing.

Re: Trouble burning Semi-Pro

I also was missing 5 minutes. After playing back the original I found the actual length is 1:31:22. While examining the titles in customize mode DVDFab is showing it as 1:25:43.
