spilt problem - Page 3 - Club CDFreaks

This sounds like a re-occurring question--and I don't wanna be redundant here--but I too am experiencing these same type error issues with the "Split" feature.
This began a lil' while back, using version 4.1.2.0--trying to back-up a DL DVD with multi-episodes. One thing I noticed that hadn't been there before was the "grayed out boxes", under the "options" of the SPLIT features that I hadn't noticed upon previously SPLIT burns. I'd been a bit reluctant about upgrading just yet to the newer 5.0 + versions since it seemed there was still a lot of trial & error type probs going on. I'm still using XP Pro...and no BluRay or HD drives just yet. Any suggestions on what might be causing this glitch? Or how to fix this issue?

You can do the splits manually using Customize mode. It is a two-step process but very reliable. If they can duplicate the problem, they will fix it.

Thanks Signals! Hope I'm not the only one having these issues. I went thru the "Main Movie" setting--and pulled out the individual episodes. Unfortunately I wasn't able to compress them onto 1-2 DVD's (as I used to be able to do w/Split before.) Just can't figure out why, all of a sudden this glitch showed up!?! Also, the varying writing speed seemed faster in the earlier 4.0.1.2 Vs. Of Fab, weird huh? Guess I'll hang back a bit to see what happens in the 5.20 version...unless I see a bit more convincing
BTW, my PC hdwr. has (2) x TSST SH-S203N O.D. FWSB01
AMD 64 3000+ cpu / 2 Gb RAM PC3200 ddr400 (Still using XP Pro SP2)

My read/write speeds for the DVD to DVD modes with 5.0.2.0 are about what they were before, just the normal read speed variation that you see with different source material.
