Schindler's List I've been trying to backup my DVD of Schindler's list for many months now. First, I tried DVDShrink, then DVD Deccryptor, now DVD Fab 2.9.5.2. I downloaded the latest version (2.9.5.2) and tried and it took over 8 hours to backup and ended up with I think 7 VOB files. When I tried to open these files with DVD Shrink I got an error about VOB #5 file. This was about the time (during VOB file #5) the backup went from pretty quick to slow as snails. Any advice ?

Re: Schindler's List Schindler's List should Bkup with any utd decrypter and any variety of burn engines. I created a Bkup last winter-spring with a version probably close to platinum v. 2.82. Used gold application and split to 2 discs...no problems. I would recommend that you update fab to v.2.9.6.2 (available as of 12/01) and give this version a try...v. 2.9.5.2 unfortunately, was released in the midst of some fairly unstable versions. If you can't access fengtao's site or don't already have 2.9.6.2 downloaded please feel free to pm me and I'll email it out to you. You should also be able to Bkup with AnyDVD and a variety of burning softwares such as nero recode2. Just an FYI, if I were to create a Bkup of Schindler's List today, I'd burn to a DL and use AnyDVD in combo with DVDD to decrypt and rip, and then burn with either DVDD or Img...yields a flawless copy consistently. Hope this helps, Tom

Re: Schindler's List Thanks, I will download the 2.9.6.2 free DVDFab Decryptor and try. I don't burn DVDs I just store them on my HDDs for HTPC playback. I use DVD Shrink after the rips to strip out everything but the movie itself. Question, do you need to uninstall the software or will the new revs update the old on top ? Regards.

Re: Schindler's List Re: updates, just go ahead and install the new version right on top. I save all previous versions, so I rename the file with the correct name save to hd and then run. I recommend archiving versions in case you ever need to revert. BTW, if reverting, you'll need to uninstall fab, then newly install the older version. If you interested in any specific version, give me a holler and I can send it out to you. Tom
