Saw 4

Hey Guys
Hope you can help me out with this one. I know what your gonna say, how did I get this one before release date? Well I just so happen to get movies 1 or 2 weeks early, But any who, I ve update to the newest dvdfavhddecrypter that came out today and when i insert the movie SAW 4, I dont get a error message or anything like that. The only pop that comes up is the initial one that says "OPEN DVD SOURCE E:\ SAW 4" It continues to do that and never stops. I have to hit cancel, I have tried different computers and differents dvd drives. I know this is a lionsgate movie and they have been messing around with a new type of protection like the one found on 3:10 to Yuma. So any who let me know what you need for me so when this bad boy is release no one has this problem
Thanks Guys

Available for Pre-order. This item will be released on Jan 22, 2008.
So this disc must "have been removed" from the factory pressing process...

Re: Saw 4

Why must it have been? It goes from pressing into the various distribution channels early, up to 2-4 weeks.

Re: Saw 4

Hi,

Maybe worth a quick check on the disc itself.

I bought a new DVD and tried to do a backup out the box and it was just a simple case of a smear on the back stopped this and displayed the same symptoms as you've described.

I just wiped over a couple of times and the disc played fine and the backup worked a treat.

Not saying it's exactly the same issue here but worth a check.

Re: Saw 4

Here you go acuariano:
Hi,

If you encouter problem to copy a DVD, please send us the IFO files, so that we can check the problem.

A recommended way is listed below:

1. Insert original disc into DVD drive, run DVDFab to open it.

2. Open "Settings -> Info" window, choose the correct DVD drive, click "Save IFO Files" button.

3. ZIP the IFO files on hard disk folder to one file. Name it with a readable filename, like Stealth_UK.zip.

4. Send the zip file to fengtao(at)dvdidle.com, you need replace (at) with @.

Thanks!

Best Regards,
Fengtao

I tried all day and all I could do was pre-order, I even tried a bribe at BJs Wholesale Club but they said they did not have it in stock yet, it will be released on the 22d of this month.

Hey Acuariano
Im doing what u posted, but dont understand what u mena when u say hit abort. Im getting the same problem because DVDfabdecrypter keeps on trying to open the dvd source and it wont stop. When I hit cancel there is no selection that I can pick.
Thanks for you help...By the way im only using dvdfabHD decrypter not DVDfab Platinum...I wonder if that makes a difference

It's obvious....

Spend the shekels and buy Platinum.

That leads to the question WHY it is so important to you to have that disc/movie copied ASAP............ I know an answer, it would not please you, I think.

Listen I have no Idea what you are trying to imply, Bur I thought people came to this forum for help and not judgement passed on them, I simply want to be able to copy this movie and I guess part of the problem is I always get movies about 2 weeks early and I think I might just stop that and wait for the to be released on time.

Noone can help you if they cannot buy the disc, Fengtao has already said he needs the disc, the .ifo files are not enough, so either watch your original that you bought earlier than everyone and wait for the movie to be released to the public. Watching your original disc should not be a problem, if you own it.

Hello seanjohn1. First of all, do you have Pathplayer enabled or not ? If not, try enabling it and see what happens. If you do have it enabled, maybe try disabling it and see. I know I keep it set at enable when necessary and the last 2 new movie's I backed up, 3:10 TO Yuma and Rush Hour 3, both of them used Pathplayer and I didn't have any problems with them like a lot of other people seemed to have ok. Worth a shot. Good Luck ! ~ Mike
