| Read everything and cannot figure this out. Ok, My brother sent me a couple dvd's over from England. They're season 1 and 2 of shameless. I have been trying all day to convert them to region 1 so I can burn them and watch them on my regular tv. I have tried 5 times. I'm using Maxell DVD-R's. I have the full version of DVD Region+CSS Free running in the background. I have tried two differant methods; The first was using the full version of DVDFab. I have tried this twice and it never finalizes. It gets to that point and just hangs. Upon cancelling and removing the discs, they can be watched on my computer but nothing else. The other method I have tried was using DVD Decryptor and DVD shrink. This time it finalizes, but has the same issue.... All 5 dvd's can be played on my computer.... I have 4 differant dvd players.... with 2 of the players all 5 discs "arn't seen" In other words the players just think the disc doesn't exist. On one of the other players none of the 5 discs work, but all 5 discs make the dvd player read PAL on the front. On the last (and funny enough) the cheapest of the dvd players, all five discs work. However lines run up and down on the image kind of like on the old VHS tapes when the tracking was off.... the audio works fine. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm burning at 4X and leaving my computer completely alone when I do this.... No screen saver, and I'm using VISTA. Any help would be GREAT! |

 If you are using Packet writing then this may be the reason it is not getting Finalized also these disc are in PAL form so of your player dont play PAL you need to convert to NTSC

| Re: Read everything and cannot figure this out. That's what I'm trying to do, convert them... I thought as long as I had DVD Region +CSS in the background it would eliminate the whole region thing and create a region free DVD... is this not true? |
