Re: Ratatouille will NOT copy

I am using DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.0.1.0 and I too am unable to back up the Ratatouille DVD. I have tried disabling PathPlayer, no luck.

When I select "Full Disc" and check "Copy DVD-Video (Video_TS folder)" then click "START", the program analyzes the DVD successfully, then says "Copy process started". It gets to 22.15% and then the "Process Failed!" message appears, and the main window says...

"Task_1 failed! Error=102(VTS_06_0.VOB 0 2048)
Process failed!

When I try it using "Main Movie", it immediately fails to analyze.

Any suggestions?

That worked for me until VTS_10_1.VOB part. Here's a screen shot:

Note all the 0KB files. I am using v4.0.3.0 of the free version. I was doing a full disc to my HDD. Yes, I disabled pathfinder too.

Re: Ratatouille will NOT copy

sorry i think you must have a bad disk. i myself backedup R1 using dvdfab 3180. this was before the inclusion of pathplayer. if the disk is new and free of any scratches return it to the store and get another from a different vendor.

Yeah, it was weird. I even triped copying that specific file and Explorer said it couldn't read/write it or something during the rip. I had to abort after ignoring a few more times. Ignoring all went down under 1 MB/sec and just kept hanging.

I tried watching the movie and the behind the scenes with WinDVD 7 on the same machine. No problems (no hiccups either). My dad's cheap DVD player had no problems either (last night).

Maybe my old Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1612 16X/48X ATAPI/IDE drive
sucks?

I have had Toshiba SD-M1612 16X/48X ATAPI/IDE since early 2003. I guess that's old and not good for today's DVD rippings/copyings?

Re: Ratatouille will NOT copy

you can update the firmware for your drive here:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=191

if that doesnt seem to help new drives can be had for pretty reasonable prices. check out this forum for some suggestions.

Um, am I supposed to be using RevB, not C? I will also need to find a DOS boot disk. Is there one for a CD due to lack of 3.5" disk drives?
