I am new to DVD Fab and am trying to convert a DVD I own to be able to be played on my Ipod Video. I encode it twice with the highest FPS and 128 for the sound. Everything looks good when it is trying to encode it, but after the message says that it has completed I go look at the file and the size is 0kb. Does anyone have any ideas on what i am doing wrong?

Please make sure you uninstall the old DVDFab and install the lastest vesion of DVDFab.

and which profile is your using, 1pass or 2pass encode mode ?

I am not sure why this problem is happened, please tell me more information about your problem.

I am using the DVD Fab Platinum 3.2.0.0. The device is ipod and is set to ipod default. Video format is set to mpeg4. Encoding Method is high quality encoding (2-pass). I max out the bit rate as high as it will go and put the frame rate at 30 fps. The audio format is 128 and the volume is 100%. I have no subpicture selected. I hope this additional information helps. Did you convert title from DVD-Drive to ipod ? what DVD-drive is your using ?
the convert process is just begin and then tell you it is finish ?
how many time your convert process running ?
the problem only happend in one special DVD or all ?

I was having a similar problem which seems to have been solved by removing the DVDFab (I had just upgraded to 3.2) and then re-installing version 3.2.

I'm having the same problem on mp4 2 pass encoding. I think there's a problem with the new DVDFab 3.2 I uninstalled it and installed the old one and it converts 2 pass mp4 fine.

Looks like my problem isn't solved!

Had the same error o'night (2-pass PVP rip). Seems to go through the first pass OK but doesn't properly complete the 2nd pass.

Changed to a different disk and similar issue. This time however it didn't do either pass properly. Log is below. Note the time taken for each pass (< 5 sec). No problems doing this task in earlier version of DVDFab.

I Updated to the new DVDFAB 3.2.0.8 and still has the same problems for 2 pass

What profiles are you all using. I just did a 2-pass Generic AVI xvid+MP3 that was fine. 3.2.0.8

i'm using the mp4 profile and the apple tv profile both don't work

I think both of those are H264 video. I have not tried that yet, but I do some of my rips with H264 so I guess I'll find out. I'll try one tomorrow.

I'm using the PVP option with mpeg4 + mp3 audio profile

Please redownload DVDFab 3.2.0.8, and try it. make sure DVDFabConsole version is "1.0.0.2 ".

DVDFab Console still is version 1.0.0.1 with second downloaded beta 3.2.0.8

I have been using DVDFab for a while but have only recently explored more of the program (got it basically to put movies on the kids iPods).

I am not sure what you mean by the console version? Hope this isn't a stupid question.

BTW I find the program fantastic, one of the most used items on my system for sure, and I love that updates are always available, excellent work.

@ Amiga Freak and Ting: Mine was 1.0.0.1 also. I deleted the Console executable and downloaded and installed again, it is now 1.0.0.2. Not sure if the manual deleting of the old one had anything to do with this or not.

@Stryk911 This is a new internal function of DVDFab, normally transparent to the user.

You don't need delete DVDFabConsole.exe, just re-download and re-install is ok, and it's only for the zero file size problem.

You're right, now i did download third time the 3.2.0.8 beta (all different lenght). But with last download the console is change to version 1.0.0.2.

mine still does not work in mp4 with 2 passes. My version is 1.0.0.2 and i'm on the 3.2.0.8 beta

The happens here, with 3.1.8.0 works excellent, once I downloaded 3.2.0.0 I can not convert to mp4. (File size 0kb) what a nightmare, I rolled back to 3.8.0.0 and works fine. The problem is in the version 3.2.0.0. Other observation, when you close the Main program DVDFAb Platinum the Console program REMAINS in memory.

there must be another problem with you. I did try the ipod.mp4 profile. It worked for me, except subtitles not visible. Please wait for next update. We will see, what happens...
