if you are using dvdfab gold/platinum with both versions 3.1.8.0 and latest version (4.0.1.2 as of this post) installed and v3 works without trouble however experience trouble with v4, please post the problem here.

before posting problems with version 4.x.x.x be sure to try first with pathplayer enabled, then disabled. then do a clean uninstall/reinstall going to version 4.x.x.x. if still problem get some info ready.

post this information and anymore information which may relate to your problem.

1. what operating system are you using?

2. what brand and model is your dvd reader and dvd burner? how are they connected? internal ide, internal sata, external usb, external firewire....

3. what versions of dvdfab gold/platinum are you using?

4a. what movie are you having problems with? in dvdfab go to settings, info and copy & paste the information into your post. also follow this thread on how to send the IFO files to fengtao.

4b. if the dvd will not analyze in versions 3.2.0.0 or higher, then give title, country of origin and region code.

5. is it a burning error? what are your burn settings? what brand of blank media are you using? what is the media id? use dvd identifier to tell you info about your disc. get dvd identifier.

6. please post a burn log. example directory: C:\Documents and Settings\troy512\My Documents\DVDFab\Log\dvdfab_burn_vso.

7. describe in as much detail the errors which occur and provide screen shots if possible.

please lets keep this to only post about problems and not a discussion thread. if you post here you will not get a reply. this thread is to be used as a way to track errors/problems encountered with new version and not as a discussion/solutions thread.


remember this is only for posting problems experienced with dvdfab gold/platinum latest version 4.x.x.x which you do not experience using version 3.1.8.0, using the same computer, using the same methods and same original dvds. if you have a question please post in the forum.

Trying to Rip Pirates of the Caribbean 3 region code 1 in NTSC using DvdFab Plat. version 4.0.1.6 Beta. Cant get the dvd reader/writer to reconize the disc spins for about 7 mins. then the screen goes "stange" and PC locks up using windows Vista using LT-DT DVDRRW GSA-H30L SCSI dvd/cd

I can not use DVD to Mobile with any version after 3.1.8.0. I'm sure this is on their lists of things to fix.

It is on the list of things to check, and I am sure if there is any problems in the program they will be addressed.

I have ripped this twice, once Full Disc/Jump to Menu, once Customize/No Menus with: PathPlayer Enabled, Read Ahead Cache DISabled, no problems on XP system.

No I'm pretty sure it's more then a check. It's a fix that is needed.
