DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, Pixelation at Copy Movie forum; I get piixelation whenever I copy an unprotected disc using the split option. Sometimes one or both discs has pixelation at 1x or more on my Sony player. On another player it is ok. What causes this?

Sounds like the Sony player, doesn't it?

Re: Pixelation

Try a lens cleaner disc on the Sony. If it is an older model, or a player only and not a recorder, it may be doing the best it will ever do. Recorders usually have better drives and optics than players. You can try reducing the burning speed in DVDFab.

Re: Pixelation

The Sony is a 5 disc changer and about 1 year old. I also tried playing the split title on a Toshiba DVR and a Pioneer DVR (3 yrs old) and both had troubles with it in scanning at a higher speed mode.

I tried it on an old made in China player works perfectly.

When I copied the same unprotected movie from Player to DVR it worked perfectly on all machines so I suspect it's something to do with DVDFab and the way to copies splits, as Full disc versions never have a problem.

I will try to burn at a lower speed the next time and see what happens.
