Did anyone bother to see if this a double layer. I did by accident and it copied on a double layer dvd and if you look on the back it even says dbl and I bet saw 111 is also. Something to look for. Right now I am copying something else and it works fine.

Re: Open Season will not burn

Open season is a double layer but you don't need a doubler layer disk to copy it. I copied it just fine to DVD-5 using FAB Plat 3.0.7.2 and it came out great so it's not Fab perhaps you have a software conflick going on. Also most movies are double layer anyway I believe. Hope you get it straightened out

Re: Open Season will not burn

This is true. I first noticed this with the movie King Kong. I'd gone to the movie's to see it, and saw that it was well over 2 hours long. I knew they couldn't fit all of that on a SL DVD, so I checked out the case before I bought it. And as I thought, it was a DL DVD. And no, that wouldn't effect anything. I've done some back-up's that were at 52% compression without any real noticable flaws in the picture quality.

Re: Open Season will not burn

Having a bear of a time getting it to read/decrypt beyond 60%. If it even recognizes the disc at all upon load up. This was one of the error codes I actually saved:

11:49:24: Analyzing of DVD started
11:49:26: Analyzing of DVD completed successfully
11:49:26: Copy process started
12:49:18: Task_1 failed! Error=400(39 5 2 0 472443 472444 472443)
12:49:19: Process failed!

DVDfab is not new to me. It is an awesome product, I'm baffled. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Open Season will not burn

If it freezes up at the same place everytime, then it could be a flaw or scratch too. Even if it plays alright on your DVD player, there could be flaws. I've had it happen to me. So, give that a try. Also, did you say weather or not this happens on any other movies? ~ Mike

Hi StormJumper, I've heard of this ISO Buster a few times and it sounds like a good fall back program to have. Where might I find this animal if you would ? Can never have a big enough tool box. LOL. Thanks ~ Mike

Have you used any of the other ISO programs such as Ultra ISO & Magic ISO? I have the free version of ISO Buster and am thinking of buying it.

Hey Mike,

I'll save Mack the trouble after a long day at work. After all, he's an old man...not like me...
(Actually, I might have Mack beat by a bit...but I'm too old to remember...lol).

IsoBuster is a great piece of software! Here's a link to the homepage. As Mack said, just download the regular version 2.0 and when you open to run, simply click on "Free Functionality".

Re: Open Season will not burn

I'm learning new tricks all the time, lol. BTW I went there and downloaded the ISO Buster and what do you know, I went to install it and it wouldn't. The dreaded currupt files window popped up. So, I'm going to try and download the other version with all languages instead of just English. Here we go again ~ Mike

Re: Open Season will not burn

I'm doing it as we speak Tim. Hopefully I'll have better luck this time. This is the second time with all languages. The first time it stopped at 1.32 mb. So I'm trying it again. Thanks Tim ~ Mike
You gotta remember where I live. My dial up is at a blazin' 26.4 kbps. I really do live in the sticks. All I have around me here is horses, steers, road runners and armadillo's. Wait, hold the phone, it just completed and yes, we have a winner. Now I can't wait to try it. Thanks to you all ~ Mike
