Please help...

I recently began having a odd problem. A dos window for nero burning rom pops up and takes control of DVDfab when i am burning using the Nero burning rom option on DVDfab. I have made no changes to my pc since i purchased DVDfab a few months ago, other than upgrading dvdfab as updates became available. dvdfab works as normal with vso buring engine except is likes to freeze up will finalizing last 30seconds. problem just began a few weeks ago. I have 2gb of ram, windows xp, 2 dvdburners (both Hp.) Amd Athlon 64 processor. please help.

Hi dancecorp. This is normal behaviour when using Nero from within DVDFab. Nothing to worry about and should work fine. Do the DVDs turn out OK?
Have you tried setting write type to "SAO" in Common Settings-->Write to see if that helps the finalizing problem?

thank you for the help, no i have not tried SAO yet, will try that. I was just mystified about the NEro window popping up because it had never done so before. but if it is to be expected then i will not worry.

Does it every time I use it (which is not often). Post back if you continue to have trouble.

Same here and I very rarely use nero as a burn app, within Fab anyway. If I recall correctly, the dos window started to appear for me sometime ~ last spring or perhaps even longer?

I have seen that the new versiopn of Nero 7 something , has been causing a lot of problems with various burning programs, so for my 2 cents as Tim would say I'd just use the VSO burning engine instead of two different programs
