I've installed DVD Region+CSS Free because I used up all my region changes on my drive & it was locked to region 1 ( the wrong region for me)

However when I try to play a DVD there's no sound coming from the speakers =/

Any idea what might be going wrong?

Heres a couple, if you havent already checked,

- Windows/playback application mute isn't on

- depending on sound card, expanded volume control panel has cd player checked for playback, or whatever choice is designated to be for same.(i.e. wave, wave/mix)

- speaker connections correct, also might test with headphones. As long as Wave or like is checked for playback on volume expanded console, dvd/cd audio should play

- sound drivers show installed, configured properly in Windows

- software playing back with, don't if others, but Nero Showtime without plugin will not play DD which is now pretty much standard on DVD. However Media Player fine with.

Not sure if any switches with standalone css free - I use Fab Express which includes components - only thing there you can into trouble with is if you ripped and accidentally unchecked ALL of the audio tracks...course if you are playing an original dvd - not applicable.

It's possible that your DVD player doesn't support DTS decoding, and the first audio track in your DVD disc is DTS, so that you hear nothing.
