I have been testing a trial version of DVDFab Platinum for creating video files from my DVD's to put on my PS3. All was ok at first, but now the files I transfer have no picture when played on the PS3, only sound. They play ok on the computer. Any suggestions ?

I have tried other progs like DVD shrink which works, but does not have the flexibility of DVDFab - I have a lot of music dvd's and I like to transfer individual chapters from say a concert to the PS3. DVDFab enables me to do this and is very easy to use.

Is the problem caused by the fact that I am using a trial version ?

The trial version is full function and as the same as the register version.

Some people report this problem before, but we always cannot repeat this in our test.

Did you do any change for DVDFab or PS3 ? change DVDFab version or update PS3 firmware ? or this is just for some special title in DVD?

I have got DVDFab working again by doing an uninstall of DVDFab as per:

And then downloading DVDFab again - I had tried uninstalling by the usual method and downloading again but that did not work.

If I do not touch the settings for bit rate etc the progaram works but if I change the settings I end up with no picture on the PS3.

Does DVDFab choose the settings that are appropriate for the DVD so you should not have need to change them ?

Ultimately I would like to stream my DVD's from my NAS drive to the PS3 resulting in the same picture quality as the original DVD played on the PS3. My feeling is that is a long way off !

Nope, it is not.....

You have to get the format of the movies correct first but many people have. I'm sorry but I don't have a PS3 to test but have seen many posts from people doing it.

To streamfrom your NAS, you need a uPnP server (Have a look on the TwonkyVision forum) and the latest firmware on your PS3.
