Having used his products both paid and free for more than 4 years he has never let me down. He has consistently surprised me with more than timely updates and fixes. When there was only region and CSS protections to worry about things were simpler. Now it seem every other week something new is added to the challenge. The amount of time to keep his software up-to-date must be staggering. During all this time and all the new releases and new features not once have I been ask to pay an additional amount. Lately it seems that some feel as if the are not getting there monies worth or the fixes fast enough or why doesn't the free version do this or that. Well please give me a break, if you can afford a computer, internet access, the original movies, than you can afford to realize that there is no other software provider that even comes close to what Fengtao offers. If on the 8th of May Fengtao says do to the realities of the current market I have had to change my pricing structure regarding my softwares I will be one of the first to say "I understand" and am more than willing to "pony-up" what he asks to continue to have at my disposal the finest software of its kind.

I second that, I purchased the Gold version as I don't do Mobil Video, as I personally don’t have any use for it.

Please don't forget the team too -- I know fengtao posts often and so does Ting and I'm sure there must be some more guys who work on this great product.

They are both tireless in their updates and understanding customer needs, requirements and fixes and yes this is somehting that derserves financial reward.

It seems the price structre will change soon and if I've been reading things right, it also seem's that for anyone who purchases V4.xxx before 8th May, can then download the Beta' of V5 with a new registrition key.

This 'new' key on V5 does not have an expiry date and therefore the guys are honouring the 'free updates for life'.

For poeple who do buy after 8th May, I'd imagine there would be a periodic charge for newer keys and all updates inbetween would be free -- this seems to be inline with many other commerical products and their new versions and 'upgrades' policy.

For those who have the new key without expiry (myself included), we should consider ourselves luckly to have got in at the right time and if there ever did come a time when there was a "brand new product" that needed to be purchased again, i.e. one that superceeded DVDFab and was on a renewal basis for all -- would I buy it ? 100% YES.

As for the product itself and most recently --- it seems not only is the producy improving it's having an ever increasing 'professional feel to it. This is only from my limited time (about 1 year) of using and have gone from v3 to now v5 which to me looks and feels more polished.

One other point to note is this forum and the help people put in around DVDFab and the help provided to newbies and vets alike -- this is something that's never mentioned in the 'cost' of the product but here alone I've probably had my monies worth.

In summary (for me) and the thread title DVDFab, the team who write the software and listen to our needs and these boards make this #1
