| making dual layer archives Now that we know the DVD Fab software be used to split a movie into 2 discs using Gold, can you if you saved 2 seperate 4GB files onto the hard drive, fuse those files and use DVD Fab to make a dual layer? Or do it another way? I have stuff on VHS I recorded from TV and I've archived them onto DVD using a recorder machine which only uses single layer, thus 2 hours max per disc. I think it would be so nice to put 4 of these hour long tv shows onto one DL disc. m Last edited by mikejc; 26-06-2006 at 15:00. Reason: bad grammar |

| Re: making dual layer archives Unfortunately, fab will not accomplish this...you'll need re-authoring software. I've not really done this, but shrink comes to mind and is free. Check out a guide here. Navigate to re-author > compilation. There are other software apps, maybe some other members can give you some specifics. BTW, the quick and easy method, of course, is to simply rip from the original again. Also, the easiest method to bkup VHS, is with a standalone which is macrovision free (hacked). I have a Liteon 5005 (region and macrovision free) which works great for all the old VHS tapes (studio and home variety). Again, others will have their preferences for this.

| Re: making dual layer archives I'm wondering if that folder2iso that Tom found might do the trick. Mack
