| Installation of DVD Fab Platinum 3.0.1.0 Just installed the new DVD Fab Platinum 3010 and it looks great. I still have the prior verson of DVD Fab Platinum 2.9xx on my PC. Is it ok to have both versions installed? I thought the new version would overwrite the older version and now I have both DVD Fab Platinum programs on my PC. Will this cause any conflict with the new version not working? |

| Re: Installation of DVD Fab Platinum 3.0.1.0 I just installed the official 3.0.1.0 version. This is what it looks like. ![]() As you can see, something is definitely wrong. I tried un-installing it, rebooting, downloading it again, installing it again, same thing.

| Re: Installation of DVD Fab Platinum 3.0.1.0 Right when I open it. As I said. I tried downloading it again, un-installing (and manually removing left over folder), removing all instances of DVDFab in registry, and re-installing (about 5 times). All result in the same thing. I also have my previous series 2 version un-installed.

| Re: Installation of DVD Fab Platinum 3.0.1.0 You mean like WindowBlinds or something? No. I posted this also on Digital Video forum and at least one other person has displayed the same screenshot as I did.

| Re: Installation of DVD Fab Platinum 3.0.1.0 Bigmacnc, The regional setting was a problem with the Patin couffin engine. This has been rectified by now, 3.0.1.0 does work with my region (Hungary) as well. However, I did try installation with English region - no difference. I did not have beta, I just tried this new version today when I learned that Gold and Express have merged into new Gold. |

| Re: Installation of DVD Fab Platinum 3.0.1.0 Yeah, It is back to 2 editions Platinum and Gold. We all tested 10 betas before the final Platinum 3 was released. This is first time I have seen display problems as most have been with drive recognition. Mack

Yes, of course. It worked well for most users in the various beta versions and now it's been released in the full retail version. "...can you copy on a dvd double layer disk and how..." Do you mean double layer, as in two-sided (flip for side A or B)? I believe you would probably have to split the disc and bkup to side A and B respectively. These discs are pretty rare and I think you may mean dual layer. You have always had the ability to burn to DLs, both with express and gold. There were however, inconsistencies/issues with the layer break. Now, with the new version 3.0.1.0, the LB issues have been resolved. I've burned at least 30 DLs and they've been flawless. Simply choose "dvd9" as the target size...see above screenshot #23 by Mike89. You can do this with any mode, although it's unnecessary in clone mode assuming the file is larger than 4.37 GB. I've mostly used clone mode for my DLs and I've been very happy with the results, perfect bkups and no failures.
