DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, How to compress, having 2 or more languages and subtitles like DVDShrin at Copy Movie forum; hello ng, I'm using DVDfabPlatinum and looking for a possibility to compress a movie holding 2 or more language-audiostreams and subtitles. That's no problem with DVDShrink . There I can use the "Compress"-Slider. Maybe that's a beginners question cause I started using DVDFabPlatinum some

Hello Richard. Glad to have you as a fellow DVDFab user! Use the Customize mode to do what you want. Select any audio/subpicture streams that you want to include using the checkboxes in each area. DVDFab will compress all elements the same amount (in this it differs from DVDShrink) and display the relative amount of compression as the "Quality %" in the lower part of the window. With good high bitrate originals, you can go as low as 65% and still get excellent results, but the higher the number the better. You should also find that DVDFab accomplishes this much faster than DVDShrink.

Thank your for your answer. But that's the problem. I only can select "DVD5" or "DVD9" and I can see the corresponding "Quality %". But what have I to do to compress to selectable number. Let's say "Quality 67%"
Is there a way to do that?

Thx in advance

Richard

Hello again Richard. No, DVDFab compresses only enough to make the selected material fit on whatever disc size you have selected, and compresses all elements the same amount (at least there is no user control of the process). That being said, I have used DVDShrink extensively and I think (this is opinion) that DVDFab's output images are every bit as good as anything I ever got out of DVDShrink (even the 2-pass AEC) and it works MUCH faster.
