Hi im new here my name is Alicia... Well I have a big problem my dvdfab doesnt want to work at all Im trying to burn and i missed up a whole new pack of dvds when i would burn them it would say complete... So when i put it on my personal Dvd it disk error.. i have download the new dvdfab 5.0 and i have the 4. The dvdfab 4 always says the disk fail and the 5 let them burn but say disk error on personal DVD.. I have two day thats is doing this.. I have change the speed and have tryed different disk and nothing ... some please help...

Have you tried burning a dvd, just a data dvd, using another program? Like Nero or ImgBurn? I'd like to know if your burner is operating correctly, and this is one way to test it.

You should also check to see if dma is enabled for your drive. Look through this thread for instructions on how to do this.

It would help us diagnose your problems if you would tell us the make and model burner you have, and the exact disks you are trying to burn. I suggest downloading a free program called Nero DiscSpeed, http://www.cdspeed2000.com/ , load one of the blank dvds and click on the Disc Info tab in this program. Tell us the MID (manufacturer id code) of the disks. Have you used these particular disks successfully in the past, or is this a new batch?

If there is a log file for the failed burns in DVDFab, you should post it as well. I'm not a DVDFab user, so I don't know if it makes one or not. Perhaps someone more familiar with the program will enlighten us on this point.

I already tried nero and its not working eirther could it be my drive its only like 5 months new...

It is possibly a problem with your drive. But we need more information from you. Please check the dma status of the drive---the instructions are very good in that link I provided.

When you said nero doesn't work...do you mean with the"burned" discs?
Have you tried just putting a blank disc in?

A few burn logs would us a great deal, that is, if in fact, any burning actually took place.
The default location is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

OK i already checked the DMA and everything is good.. What happend is that I have been able to burn movies..
But it Just stopped working.. Like I always use DVDFAb 4 to burn my movies... Like two days ago it stopped it burn it and when its done burning it say complete and and when I put it on a personal DVD it say disc error.. I always use The disc Maxell.. I have never had this trouble before.. My kids used the computer that day it stopped working.. Can it be that they messed up a file that its not letting it show the picture and sound ..
