Re: help please! dvdfab question

The source and target should be the same and when it's done reading and putting on the hard drive it will tell you to insert a blank media then click ok and it will start burning, also burn no faster than 4X to get a good quality burn. If you have anymore questions please visit the DVDFAB Forum

Although FAB is good program bur for you as newbie if you are, and the simples way to do with one drive is to use DVD Shrink (to rip, encode and shrink a video in your hard drive) and Nero to burn this ripped file to empty DVD media.

Why should he use several different programs when just one will do it

Re: help please! dvdfab question

Hi darkst4r and welcome to cdfreaks.

First off, please tell us what application and version of Fab you're using.
DVDFab decrypter (freeware) has no burn utility, whereas the retail apps (platinum and gold) are complete and will do it all.

In either case, Jimbo is exactly right...it's simply a matter of choosing your one optical drive as both "source" and "target" in the drop downs. While I love shrink, it is no longer developed...last version in '04... ) so it's decrypting capability is not current, to say the least. You would be better off using fab decrypter to rip should you choose to stay with freeware.

If you have more questions about Fab, you might be better off asking a mod to move this thread to cdfreaks' Fab Forum and we'll be glad to help.
