hey im stuck i d/l the free fabdecrypter program and every time i try to put in one of my movies this reading/writing error always pops up it will load the movie and all and then once i hit start like 5 seconds later this box pops up sayind reading/writing error control . reading error please choose what to do then i have options of ignore abort retry and ignore all. im stuck i have no idea why its not working i have a lg dvd writer and im able to use it on some movies by using dvd shrink but none at all work through the fab and other friends of mine love fab and have no problems but i do please help.... thank you

Try cleaning the dvd also check for any scratches

i have a LG gsa-h55n internal super multi dvd writer my computer is a vpr matrix 2020 with windows xp home addition. it has a 400 mhz 1.0 gb max does that help any

Please give us any error codes that DVDFab may have reported. Try disabling the read ahead cache in Common Settings.

ok but it does not give me any codes all it says is the reading/writing error which pops up every time i try and do a movie no matter what movie it is i will press start and then about 3 percent later the error message pops up and if u press ignore all it will decryt the movie and all but when it is played back u see blurry spots in it from time to time and thus is why i would like to fix this problem lol

seems like scratched dvds as stormjumper suggested or copy protection problems. im just stumped as to why dvdshrink will work but not dvdfab as scratched dvds is not depended on software but your dvd reader. you can set pathplayer to always enable to help with copy protections. if your setting is already enable then try with disable.

yes i have a 400 processor and a 1 gb ram and i purchased my drive in november so i dunno it is fairly new i have always used shrink untill i started having problems with it then i was introduced to fab but it had never worked prperly on my computer and i have the 4.0 5.1 beta verision

I'm new at this, so here it goes.....if you have dvdfab platium 4 and have problems with copy of saw 4---go to control panel and delete all files with dvdfab in them--- do not restart pc yet---go to start---click search---click on all files and folders---then type "dvdfab" in all or part of the file name--once it finish showing all dvdfab file delete everything that has dvdfab in it----once done--restart pc---redownload dvdfab platinum only!!!! No dvdfab hd decrypter-- You don't need it!!!--download saw 4 and the green bar will run for about 20 to 30 seconds and you're done--I worked for me !!!

I am having trouble with double layer DVD's . It keeps giving me an error code of 122 (which isn't even on the list) on the burn part. My write speed is set to 8x and am on SAO writing and VSO. I am getting really fed up with throwing away D.L. DVD's and/or unloading and reloading DVD Fab.

The only reliable DL media is Verbatim 2.4x made in Singapore. What brand are you using?
Is your firmware up to date?
Can you post the burn log?

I am using Memorex and have the latest version of DVD Fab 5.7 I think.

To troubleshoot, try some Verbatim media.

Also, what drive do you have?
