| Re: help with burn log 1) set write speed to 6x (if still no try 4x) with these disc and drive. with better media its okay to go 8x or 12x. 2) get better blank disc (sony, verbatim, taiyo yuden) 3) update to latest fab 4020 beta 4) get another dvd drive (lite-on, nec, plextor, samsung, pioneer) yeah that is a weird error code http://club.cdfreaks.com/f116/dvdfab...s-list-193820/ troy

| Re: help with burn log Is this a laptop drive Matshita (Panasonic)? If this is the case set it to 2.4x. Slimtype of this age are slow burners. I would recommend getting an external to use DVDFab. Plus they are cheap these days. If you get an external then you can use 8x. ![]()

| Re: help with burn log Firstly I know this is the wrong place to post this but ive gone round and round this site for weeks trying to find a button that says 'post new thread" and im tearing my hair out. so for this once please forgive me:- Ive bought a sata Lite-On Lh 20A1S dvd burner that burns fine on cd wont burn dvd at all..the discs come out looking blank from what i've learnt the ritek discs were no good so I bought verbatim mcc and same results I have changed the sata location on the mobo, ive tried xp AND vista. Ive tried nero 7.5 and cheetah burner. I have tried burning on 8X and 2x. i Have error messages 1033 and 1076 on the same log..please see below I know i cant alter dma on sata and ive run out of ideas Everything Ive tried and learnt has all been from this site so Ill accept the slap on the wrist coming to me (the place I bought it from say if i send it back and there's nothing wrong with it it'l cost me more than the value of the machine to get it back and iv'e already spent quite a bit on various recordable dvd so i really am desperate) Many thanks for any help and apologies again for misplacement but im desperate Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=?.?.?.?, size=8192 bytes, created 29/06/2006 6:04:42 pm ahead WinASPI: File 'D:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 02/11/2004 12:54:32 pm NT-SPTI used Nero Version: 7.5.9.0 Internal Version: 7, 5, 9, 0 (Nero Express) Recorder: <LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1S> Version: 9L08 - HA 1 TA 4 - 7.5.9.0 Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : via Inquiry data (1) -> ATAPI, detected: ?
