DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, Generic Xvid + mp3... Don't work correctly... at Copy Movie forum; Ok, currently using DVDFab Platinum v3.0.9.8, why won't it encode a VOB to Generic Xvid + MP3 sound correctly... It seems to work on smaller VOB files (ie, under 1 hour in length), but when encoding larger VOB files, if you try to fast forward/skip through

Generic Xvid + mp3... Don't work correctly...

Ok, currently using DVDFab Platinum v3.0.9.8, why won't it encode a VOB to Generic Xvid + MP3 sound correctly... It seems to work on smaller VOB files (ie, under 1 hour in length), but when encoding larger VOB files, if you try to fast forward/skip through the encoded video you loose the sound? This is really driving me mad...

Surely i am not the only one experiencing this, is there a fix or workaround...

Any help much appreciated... Thx...

You are right many other people have your same problem. If you want to follow up on the work done to try to figure out a fix to it you should look at this thread (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....73#post1772473) so that we don't start to many threads on the same subject.

Need a little more info to help you. First you are two versions behind and there have been some tweaks to the encoding. Please download and install 3.1.0.8. With previous versions, the playback sync has been off with some players, but VLC and ffdshow codec have played the Xvid stuff perfectly for me, with full FF/REW functionality. A moderate bitrate seems to work better than really running the slider up to thousands of kb/s. Did you use DVDFab to produce the VOB files?
