| A few newbie questions. I just purchassed a LiteON 16X DVD+_ R/RW Double Layer IDE drive. My intensions are to transform some Digital camcorder movies to DVD and back up some of my purchassed DVD's Taking them from the house to the car and alowing the kids to work the DVd player is putting Some serious ware and tare on them. My friend uses DVD Fab xpress and recomends it. How ever he said he can only fit just the movie on a disc. Can an entire title be put on a disc with the "Platinum" software ? or can you use Double Layer discs. Is so can both gold and platium do it? Like the title states I am tottaly new to this and if you cam point me in a direction where I can learn alot more I would be gratefull. Thanks for your time. Mike C |

| Re: A few newbie questions. Express is not available as it has bee updated to DVDFab Gold. I use DVDFab Platinum which has more features. There was a time when Gold & Express were combined to create Platinum or purchased separately. That was during Version 2 days and there were some problems with complete movie & DL burns, but that has been resolved in Version 3 editions. Which format does your camcorder burn in? Mack

| Re: A few newbie questions. Welcome to CDFreaks. The software I use is DVD Shrink (which will allow you to backup most movies on a single disk and rip it to your hard drive) with AnyDVD ( which will remove the encryption) running in the background. |

| Re: A few newbie questions. Although DVD Shrink is good performer for ripping encoding and shrinking the DVDFAB also can do the job. |
