| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab In "DVD to Mobile" can the sub-picture option default to NOT checked, vs checked? I admit this might be an incorrect assumption for non-Region-1 users, but I know that the majority of us in Region-1 don't want subtitles displayed; so its always an extra step in the ripping process to have to uncheck it. Maybe a happy medium of making the default action something set in the Common Setting area? THANKS!

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Being able to create an ISO is the biggest request atm. for me, but also being able to set start and end frame on content would be nice.

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Forgive me if this has been mentioned before... I would like the ability to select a specific "write speed" without having to wait for the entire DVD to be encoded. I've had issues with 16X media that are eliminated at a slower speed (without having to go all the way to the "slowest" speed). |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab I keep going back to DVDShrink for compressing my backups to fit a 4.7gb disc. I generally use the "smooth" option during compression, and it gives a much higher quality video/resolution than DVDFab Platinum. It would be nice if DVDFab had the same high quality compression so backups could be done in one program. Comparing the two, DVDFab has a lot more pixelation and it's easily seen. DVDShrink, on the other hand, is able to compress a dvd 50-60% and it is barely noticeable. Maybe the DVDShrink developer would allow you to incorporate his program? |

To quote the shrink ppl. "Please remember: There is no substitute for less compression".

And Yes, sound in previews would be a really great add on I miss it because I'm also collecting good Trailers. Here's the big different to DVD-Shrink: Shrink has 3 columns: Menus, Main Movie, Extras. FabDecrypter lists the whole DVD content in only one column This makes it a little bit difficult to differ extras from mains. And here the preview with sound could be really helpful ... Anyway: Great program!!! ![]() I love it!

Actually, I tried the compression again through DVDFab Platinum, and it compressed a movie 63% with no real visible problems with resolution at all, and was entirely comparable to DVD Shrink. So, disregard my previous post. I imagine, as with DVD Shrink, there are some graphics intense movies that just can't be backed up with that much compression without a visible loss in quality. But, the majority can be backed up with that compression without a visible loss in quality, so I prefer not to waste my money on splitting every backup or paying the price of dvd dl's. Money doesn't grow on trees, at least not in my part of the country... Anyway, thanks DVDFab guys for proving me wrong... Rick

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab The Command Line option is not available anymore. Is it going to be added back soon? In addition, having a "Silent Mode" (no win32 dialog) switch, Status Log file output, and the ability to remove the "FullDisc" folder from automatically being aplied to the destination path would be great. |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab The actual write speed option is working but is not accurate. It does not detect speeds over 12X. Check it out. ![]()

| Feature Request for You Want a wish list? To update DVD Region+CSS Free and DVD Idle for those customers who already bought them. It's been over 3 months without any new version excepting a longer trial period. In the meantime DVDFab is updated almost everyday. I understand you've had legal problems with the older website but it is about time that the other products be updated or relocated, or at least keep your customers more often informed. It seems all the effort is put just into DVDFab and every new announce talks about DVDFAb only. Thanks |

think of it this way: (over-simplifying sorry) you can combine left and right stereo channels to make mono, and you can copy mono into both left & right to use both speakers... but you can't "split" mono into left & right to get true stereo. the data isn't there... love all the feature ideas in here

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab I copy many of my kids dvds to protect the original from being destroyed. I would like a feature added that would automatically start the movie over when it is finished. They like to watch the same movie over, and over, and over again. This way I could just put it i a forget about it until they want to watch something different. Thanks, dogthenine |
