Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Is it Possible (feasible??) to have the VOB Passthru option select ALL the audio formats? I am not sure about whether this is feasible or not but I have a scenario whereby I stream my VOB to a PS3 when I select the AC-3/5.1 setting and the audio is fine but when I stream to other audio kit it will only work if I have selcted the AC-3/2 audio setting... I worry that I end up losing some of the audio quality available when I do VOB copy by having to select the lower format... I now do a straight Disk copy then use VOBMERGE to bring my VOB's together into 1 VOB file to stream... Would be nice if DVDFAB could do this on it's own... Thanks

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Feature requests: Not todo with DVD Fab, but it could do with a sub forum for enhancement requests - this topic is impossible to look through to see if an item has already been suggested. Also would make it easier to comment on items. If ipod choice can default itself to the ipod section - not generic that would be good. Again on ipod - would it be possible for it to remember the audio % increase, for some reason dvd's are generally too quiet on mine so I have to increase it by 200% - if I forget to do this then I have to redo the process. Partly on ipod and I know dvd shrink already does this but it would be good if dvdfab could have the ability to compress video. Finally - great great product - very happy with the purchase. Tals

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab I know this was available in 4.x and not sure why its been removed in 5.x (or i haven't seen it) but I would like to see the option in "DVD to DVD> Customize DVD" for "Jump to main menu" & "remove annoying pgc's" like it used to be. Not sure why it was removed. The other option I would like is to be able to specify the default burner in the settings since currently dvdfab defaults to my cd-re every time I launch it. Not sure if its been mentioned (38 pages is a lot of requests) but those are my two. Otherwise the BEST backup program available!

Hi wraithe and welcome to cdfreaks, The "Jump to main menu" & "remove annoying pgc's" options are still available, but only when PathPlayer is enabled. They should be functional with the default setting of Enable PathPlayer when necessary, but I'm not certain that this is consistent...I hate the default setting. I tick the option Always enable PathPlayer AFAIK, Fab "remembers" your last choice for an ODD. For eg., on my rig, if I last burned with my sammy...that's the one that's populated as the default burner, if it was one of my Liteon's, then it's a Liteon, if it was my Benq, then it remembers my Benq. At least, this is how it works in my rig.

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Not sure if this has been asked earlier: The ability to specify the start and end frames so that you can choose not to include the end credits of a film when encoding or ripping to hard drive/iso. Some films don't split the end credits as a separate chapter so manually entering a start and end frame would be very good. Many thanks. eon

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Most of the time I'm loving this prog, but I could use an explanation on just how the new interface is better. I'm (trying) to make PSP formatted movies. Before, I could just select PSP. Now, I have to select the mobile options. If the disc is in the drive, generic gets preselected. I uncheck that and select PSP. It may not seem like much, but after several discs(with no end in sight)....grrr My current use has brought up some other issues and desires. Can I *not* have my name (automatically) stuck in the author field? I'd like a 'split by' duration. Some movies have a ridiculous number of chapters. I'd be fine if it still did it at a chapter break, nearest to the desired duration, plus or minus. I have had several movies be rejected by my PSP(firmware is up to date). They are functional on my computer. I wonder if it's because I selected a different resolution than was preselected. If that's the case, why, allow settings that don't work? I change the resolution because I don't want the movie to be 720xwhatever. The default seems to ignore the setting I choose. I suppose it might be because movies vary in their aspect. For some reason the AC/DC family jewels converts out of sync. PSP compatibility aside, most of the movies are in sync. Again, most of the time I love this prog, but at the moment....grrrr! Hope that wasn't too ungrateful sounding ![]()

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Do you know if DVDFAB has the ability to Log detail of ripped programs, those that were successfully ripped (DVD to Mobile). Whereby I can check on the bitrate, resolutions, volume, type of audios (etc) Currently, I find it very difficult to find out the sucessfully ripped programs within DVDFAB. Thank you Chow

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Hi Fengtao, This is my first e-mail to you. I am so glad that I bought DVDFab. I'm glad that you keep up with the changing problems that come up with DVDs. I don't know if this is possible, but can you add the option to convert PAL to NTSC. I would like to buy some movies that are only available over seas. Also the option to convert the different formats, like AVI. I found a program called Dropix DVD Maker and I am trying it for free right now. Have you heard of it? I hope you can give me these options, instead of going somewhere else. I would rather use DVDFab with these options. If you can't give me the options, can you suggest the program that can? Thank you, bigbrowndog Last edited by bigbrowndog; 18-06-2008 at 19:26. Reason: wanted to add some more

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Thank you for the suggestion. Do you know if the makers of DVDFab will come up with something of their own. I like DVDFab and if they have or are going to get something, I would buy it, if it's not too expensive. bigbrowndog
