Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab

I would like to see a feature in DVDFab that would stop the autoplay of an inserted DVD after loading DVDFab. As an example, a user loads DVDFab to do a disc to disc backup. We now have to wait for Media Player or any other DVD player to load the source DVD. Consequently, the wait can be several minutes, depending on the system.

I know other products such as Roxio surpresses the autoplay. I think it would be a nice feature to an excellent product.

In Settings/General/ uncheck Add AutoPlay Handler.

Thank you very much for pointing this out. I don't know how I missed this feature.

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab

Inclusion of more than one audio stream for encoding to mobile. My iPhone supports at least two and this is desirable for Director's Commentary streams. I was using Handbrake and bought DVDFab Plat as a substitute but have now reverted back to Handbrake for my mobile media needs because of this limitation.

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab

I agree with Kissyface for inclusion of a second audio stream in 'DVD to mobile'. I prefer english before german, but some movies/series are really hard in english to understand, then I like to rip it 'bi-lingual'.

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab

I purchased the DVDFab platinum hoping for an "all in one program." I really like it except for one thing, I would like to be able to crop out the beginning and end credits (not whole chapters) to help lessen the amount of compression needed. This feature is available in DVD Shrink and it's very useful. I have seen this suggestion listed many times and I was hoping it would have been included in the last release. Thanks

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it would be great to have the option of ripping a DVD to an image (ISO) file.

DVD Fab Platinum already has this feature. I use it all the time.

Of course! I've been using it for so long, ripping it to folders that I've completed forgotten about that. Had to fire it up and look.

Sorry lol.

Another great argument for multiple audio streams in 'DVD to mobile'. One I hadn't considered since I speak English as my native tongue but indispensible for those that speak English as a second language. I hope this feature is given serious consideration.

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab

One thing that really drives me nuts, is not being able to minimize/restore the window from the taskbar with one click. Seems that every other programs has been able to do this for years. Just like the scroll wheel on my mouse, haven't been able to live w/o it

Would it be possible to add in the use of the spacebar activate the checkboxes? Sometimes if I had extra space left for a dvd5, would be faster to use the arrow keys and spacebar on the keyboard...

Also would like to see the return (or option) of the lime green backround colour of this app instead of the boring grey tones. As first showed in the beta for dvdfab 5.

Love the customize split feature, makes the tv show dvds, faster and less hair pulling to back them up (since I'm too cheap to buy dvd9's

Personally never used it myself, but I beleive under the customize button, try title start/end settings

I guess getting rid of the 5 or 2 channel audio and menus can't cut it down enough?

You do realize that 80% quality is good enough for the average user right? Or is that just my personal preference?

The problem with that thought is that you still have click on the minimize button at the top corner of the window

Appreciate the effort

wheres this handy feature at? ive been having to run my stuff through dvd shrink for years now.

anyway, i noticed last night that when i insert a movie in my 'D' drive, select main movie to be targeted to the 'E' drive, dvdfab stops and tells me to insert a dual layer disk because the disk i have in the 'E' drive is a single layer (even if the main movie file is less than 4 GB). Would be nice to be able to do a straight shot to a disk rather than having to put it onto the hard drive then burn.

I have a 1080p HD TV and an oppo upconverting DVD player so I like to get 100% quality for the best picture on my TV.

Then use DL disks and get 100% quality.

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab

not sure if this has been mentioned but I would LOVE to be able to batch converting physical media to ISO's. Right now I have 5 DVD drives and I have to start up 5 instances of DVDFab to rip them all at the same time. This works but I occasionaly get blue screens but if i could queue things up like you can with mobile then this program would FREAKIN ROCK (well it would rock more since this software (v4) rocks already...)!

Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab

While ripping or burning... Disable screen saver and system from going into standby.

That would be nice.

Then it must be a bug because mine kicked in during burning.
