| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Along with the quality percentage (%) of the disc being read, would you also be able to show the orginal disc size (MB) and what size (MB) the movie was being compressed to? Example: Quality: 83% (7168 MB / 3481 MB) This would nice to have, instead of the user having to go into Options to see the DVD-5 size they had set, along with not having to use Windows Explorer to see the original disc size. | Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab When splitting a movie across two DVDs can an option be added so that when using the first disc and I select an option in the menu that is on the second disc I can use my own image to say to insert the second disc rather than the one supplied or blank (or vice versa with an alternate image for the menus on the second disc). Also can I choose how many seconds this display would be shown before jumping back to the menu. |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab It would be really cool to add some form of "Tv Show" profile, so when ripping out tv series dvd's, it would allow us to rip them at a default, decent quality looking size. I tried searching more on this to get some idea's. And one thing i found, was a typical filesize for cartoon series (around 179megs per show, every time. approx-22min on avg,) and around 350 most every time for each tv show (live, not cartoon.- ie-Scrubbs,Mindfreak.) I have noticed not much of any changes are done with audio bitrate, as well as a typical video resolution is used also. If there's anything i can do to help, lemme know. (typical settings i've noticed/or tried.) |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Yeah, i know. I was the one that submitted the Samsung A920 - Profile. I was feeling a little lazy i guess when i asked. I guess i'll make a few profiles then, and submit those. I'm assured they will be pretty popular to include for sure. |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab I've been using the free version and bought platinum yesterday. This is a great program! Very user friendly for those of us who really don’t understand all the technical stuff and just want to back up their DVDs! I'd like to convert from Pal to NTSC or vice versa within DVDFab. I searched for a manual to download somewhere. Maybe I missed it? ![]() |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Normalize audio would be nice. The volume slider alone gets a bit distorted, especially on low tone dialog. Normalize would find the peaks and adjust them accordingly for overall nice loud and clear audio. |

| Support for Nintendo DS NDS Moonlight Video Player Format If you have a Nintendo DS you can get a plugin cartridge that takes a MicroSD card and allows you to run a media player on it called Moonlight. I'd like to convert some of my DVDs to watch on the NDS. Is there any chance DVDFab would support the video format? I don't own a copy now, but I'm buy it tomorrow if it had this feature. DS-DPG posted some useful details: The basic format is MP2 Audio and MPEG1 video. The A/V isn't really muxed, it's just has the video data and then the audio is tagged onto the end, with a simple header describing the file. A description of the format including header: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NDs-mPeG A forum thread about dpg conversion for linux, completely explaining all needed steps for valid DPG's including C++-Code for it: http://forum.gbadev.org/viewtopic.php?t=7897 The python script: http://theli.ho.com.ua/dpgconv/index.html I think this will become a really big market over time - the NDS has outsold the PSP two to one - and you can pick up the cartridge + a 2gb MicroSD card for less that GBP 50.00 - USD 98.00 - that would be a fair few movies. |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab OK,ok. How Bout - - - - - -> 64bit support, and or Dual-Core Support. Xillosoft Video Convertor 3 already supports this optimized. I notice a decent speed increase with encoding because of this. Microsoft said themselfs in a recent expose that 2007 Server is the LAST OS that will be using 32bit from this point forward, as they themselves are 100% focusing on 64bit only now. |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab How about the possibility of dowloading only what is wanted ? I have no need for the Ipod, PSP, PVP, and PDA portions of the program; so if I could eliminate those portions from downloading.... it would be great. Thanks for your efforts... |

-General -Customize UI then on the right side, 'Options Group', change to 'DVD To Mobile', then below that, simply remove which ones you won't ever need. Hope that helps you out.

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab No prob. We're here to help. Enjoy it. It's SUCH a great supported piece of software. Such a good value too!!! I mostly don't use it anymore to back up my DVD's (except for the ones i play a lot.) but rather i mostly use it to encode my movies to xvid or x264 and store them on my media jukebox (xbox-xbmc that is.) |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Hello Fengtao, I see you added some additional support for PVP. I do own a real Video iPod and the program works great. But was wondering if you plan to add converting for SMV? Just to bring everyone up to speed SMV is a video format by Sigmatel. A major chip set maker that doesn't actually make MP3/MP4 players. But are making a CHIP that several companies are making and using their chip as the heart of the player. These MP4 players are basically MP3 players with some extra features which can be used for Video playback. A 1 Gig player can hold 2 1/2 hours of video. Sure 160x128 is very limited on a 1.8 inch screen. But many of theirs players require using the converter program from Sigmatel. Not directly supported by them. So my Speedmach.com MP4 player won't correctly convert AVI well. OK some video can be converted, but most won't. Any suggestions?? baddog2006 |

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab Fengtao, a feature request: for small display , like used with DVD to mobile (i.e. 320x240), the converted video looks dark and lacking contrast. Can you add a feature to improve the brightness balance and contrast? Is it possible to include settings for the codec in the device profiles in order to modify the brightness/contrast? Thank you ! |

To just convert a film with out existing menus, extras, etc just about any authoring program will do (including Nero) but I'd love to find something that maintains the DVD structure & does a 1 click conversion.

| Re: Feature Requests for DVDFab - Nintendo DS Hi, I just saw that SUPER is implementing DPG-support (Nintendo DS, moonshell), however DVDFab are a much more complete package. I hope the programmers take some time and consider to add this feature to DVDFab. Regards /Peter |
