Great product! I purchased a couple of months ago and have been impressed with the latest Platinum 3.

I have only one feature request for now. Would it be possible when selecting Main Movie, to only auto select the language for the region or based on a preference setting, for the auto and subtitles? For example, when I backup a movie and select Main Movie only, I uncheck anything in audio and subtitles that isn't English.

Hi,

I used the ability to chnane the Volume Label in v2.x all the time as there is no "standard" for DVD-Video Volume Labels. A lot of DVD Movies have Volume Labels with a lot of extra "padding", a Label of "DVD_VIDEO", or, no Volume Label at all. I, for one, like to be able to see what Discs are in my Drives in Explorer, rather than have to open the Tray and see what I wrote on them.

Hi,

I know this is a repeat from another thread, but I believe it needs to put into this sticky.

It would be great for Platinum to have a feature to only copy the selected chapter or chapters within a title. Perhaps the Customize option could have a feature to expand the title into a tree from which chapters could be selected.

Great Software. It Just keeps getting Better.
I would like to be able to (in all modes) have the option of creating an .iso / and or Burn and create an .iso to a specific location with the finished product. I prefer to save a copy of my back-up in most cases movie only to a Hard Drive. I prefer to save as an .iso as apposed to a Audio / video_ts folder.

It would be nice to be able to save chapters as MPEG2 files. The target of a DVD backup is not always another DVD. It is often desirable to convert the file to a form that it can be played back on a PC through either Windows Media Player, PowerDVD or WinDVD. This will become increasingly desirable as more and more people implement HTPCs instead of buying plain old DVD players.

a suggestion for split a dvd 9 in 2dvd 5... the image "insert the 2nd dvd" is for little time... can you put an image for many time such as 30/60seconds or open the player dvd and insert 2nd dvd... is it possible? sorry for my english... thank you and congratulations

To be able to set the burn rate in general settings so that when using two burners the process could just continue to the end without user intervention.

Having the source and destination disks auto eject when burning is complete when using two burners and having the source eject when using one burner.

A buring feature of copy 2 DVD5 into one DVD9; some movies consist of 2 discs., which allow to backup into only one disc.

Knowing that this is related to DVD, how about a capability to convert VCD movies on iPOD and able to convert PC games to iPOD.

I'm not sure how "practicle" this is for you, but I've been on the "lookout" for quite a while now for an easy, "auto-magic" method of un-splitting (recombining) a previously split Movie. I have several "tools" that can do it, but you have to know a lot to do the "obvious" things, and, you have to "paw" around a lot which is very time consuming given how easy and "fast" a DVD9 Movie is Split to 2-DVD5 Discs.

I would really like to have true handling of angles when i create a movie only copy.

Today if i select Angle 5 on a disc i will still get blank grey spots on the disc i have not on my DVD selected angle 5 before looking at the DVD. This means that the information in non selected angles are removed but the disc is not "restructured" to become a non angle disc.

Today, the only programs that can do this is Nero Recode and DVD Shrink. Elbys Clonedvd has the same behaviour as DVDFab so i am guessing it perhaps isn't that easy to implement.

I was told this was an excellent idea in another thread and would be included in a future release. As I didn't see the idea implemented in the 3.0.1.6 Beta, I thought would include it here under the proper sticky so that it doesn't get lost in some thread.

It would really be great in the "DVD to mobile" option to include editable text input boxes instead of just the slide controls for Video Bitrate and Volume. It is very diffcult to get the exact desired value by trying to drag the slider button.

I would like to request the feature mentioned below also. The ability to recombine split DVDs back into one DVD would be extremely helpful.

As an example, I would like to copy my split DVD movie to my video iPod as one movie. Currently, I would have to copy both movies to the iPod.

I would also like to say that DVDFab is a great program and I have never regretted purchasing the program. In fact, my in-laws bought the program due to my recommendation. If the features and support continue the way they are I will highly recommend DVDFab to all my contants.

Realtime write speed would be nice, something like Imgburn or CopytoDVD implement.

The Command Line capability was very convenient in prior 3.0 versions. Also the ability to specify the exact location of the target files (without the added "fulldisc\<title>\Video_TS" being appended to it).

Hi Fengtao,

Would it be possible to include a verify feature to verify the data on the DVD after burning? When this feature was enabled, it would do a bit by bit comparison with the data written to disk and the original data similar to the option in Nero.

It would be nice if DVDFAB had the option to support multiprocessor systems. Especially since these are becoming more and more commonplace and would increase encoding speed. Hope it makes it in sometime!

can you convert this movies to a dolby digital 5.1 or even better DTS 5.1

Am I missing something or what?
Is there a "Preserve Menu" capability in the "Main Movie" mode? (DVDFab 3.0.2.0) If not, is there a possibility of including this in next release?
I do see Preserve Menu capability in the Customize mode, but also see that I loose Audio 3/5.1 capability when using Customize mode. How do I get best of both worlds?
