| DVDFab rip speed VERY slow in Vista only.. I dual boot Vista and XP, and during a rip in XP the speed is great.. normally around 9K/s on the rip speed. Takes less than 20 mins to rip.. However, when I do the same in Vista the rip speed hovers around 1K/s and takes well over an hour to rip the DVD. The burn speed is fine in both OS's, it's just on the rip I'm having trouble. Below is a snapshot of the settings for my DVD drive in both OS's. Right is XP and left is Vista. There's an obivious difference between the two, but Vista doesn't have the SerialATA Generation in the drop down. All it will allow is DMA or PIO. Any help ya'll can offer is appreciated.. |
