Thanks, Fangtao and Ting for another great product. I have tried the features I like such as cusomize, merge, clone and of coure main and full disc and they all work great. I also seem to notice a slight quality boost in the burns when using imageburn or vso burn engines. keep up the good work!

I've been using this software for a while. The previous beta version worked great. However, with 5.02 the time to copy to a generic h.264 mkv has increased by 4x. ( 6 hours has now jumped to 24+).Anyone else doing this that can lend advise? I am using the same settings that worked perfectly in the beta. All movies react the same way. I am using the same XP machine I used with the beta.

I did the above two steps and received the new Key for V5.x immediately from email. Everytime after I launched the DVDFab5, a pop up window came out saying that this is version 5.0.0 and asking to upgrade to 5.0.2 although I have already installed the latest 5.0.2 version from the download site. After I closed the pop up window, the DVDFab5 is also shut down. Could you give me a hint how to solve the problem? Thanks.

Disconnect from the internet, then start DVDFab and go to Common Settings->General and uncheck the box for automatically checking for new version/updates. Hope that works. I'm sure this will be fixed in the next release.

Just upgraded from DVD Fab 4 to 5.0.2.0 My main use is to rip to IPOD using mobile option. I am experiencing excessive time to do the rip. 14 hours to complete a 52 min documentary. Just to be clear, it does complete the rip/conversion. Using standard IPOD.default config. Rebooted PC, etc, same results.

Went back to v4 and it took what I believe is the normal time on my PC of 2 hours (yes I could use a new PC with higher processor). Anyone experiencing this type of problem?

Does your computer meet the minimum requirements for the program?
Windows Vista/XP/2000/98/ME
Pentium II 500 MHz
256 MB of RAM
10 GB of Free Hard Disk Space
A DVD-R(W) or DVD+R(W) Drive
It all depends on how powerful your computer is, but if it takes hours you may be in PIO Mode and have to reset your UDMA. There is a setting that does this in the program I believe.

Installed and regged 5.0.2.0. Rips nicely but doesn't burn!
When I try to burn a DVD from the folder that I just ripped the DVD to (bee movie), it really doesn't burn. It finishes off in a few seconds. Then it starts validating forever.

I've been using DVDFab for about a year and never had any problems. My previous version was 4.1.2.0. I still have it installed, so I started it up and it burned the same folder just nicely to my DVD.

I'm running Win2K (last SP) and an LG: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4040B A304.

I am new to this forum. I downloaded DVDFab 5.0 after I purchased it. It ran into a runtime error and I did follow Storm's instructions to remove it from my computer. I re-installed it and it still ran into same error.



I tried to solve it a few times and it got me frustrated.

I have two questions:

1. On DVDFab5 when I try to convert a movie on my computer to psp format it says it will take 6-7 hours! I then switched to DVDFab4, it says it will take only 1 and a half hours. What gives?

2. Which of the mobile options will allow me to convert a movie to a Creative Labs Zen Vision M mp3 player?

The conversion time issues only are effecting some users, but are known and being worked on. There is a thread where you can post additional information that may help speed up a fix. They mainly need information on 2-pass conversion freezes now. Here is a link to the thread. Read the last post from Ting.

Hi, I bought DVDFab Platinum (Upgrade from Gold) on August 11, 2007.
When I tried to Request a V5 key, I got only key for Gold version. I mailed a DVDFab support with all detailes of purchase million times, but only answer was that my order number does not exist. Reseller Avantgate have my order number, but they only can send me my old key.I mailed DVDFab with my key for Platinum (for version 4 only).I sent a mail to Fengtao also, but get no response.I am sorry for offtopic, but does anybody else have a similar problem with this new version 5.0.2.0.

Hi. I'm new here and I purchased DVDFab 4 Platinum few months ago. It asked me to update to version 5 and I did so. I followed instructions and went to the website to get my new code for version 5. When I registered it, it says "Thank you! The product will be restarted to enable the registered version." And then it restarts and it brings me back to the same page saying there are xx days left for the trial. I closed it and then restarted it again but it still says it's the trial version. I contacted DVD Fab already and was told to uninstall and reinstall and reenter the code. I did that. It didn't work. I emailed back saying I tried it and it didnt work and I was given the same instructions again and so I tried it several more times and it still pulls up the trial version. I really need help in re-enabling the registered version of it again. Thanks!

You have to get a V5 key.

That's what I did already.

I'm current using Windows Vista Home Premium.

Make sure you do not include the asterisks when inputing the code.

I need help with the new version. I had opened version 4 and was prompted to download version 5, which I did. After doing everything I needed to do with the codes, I am unable to open version 5. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Thankfully, version 4 is still working.

I appreciate the dvdfab teams diligence in getting the new version out. I have done several clean uninstal/reinstals and I am still having the same issue with the registraion key, I can't get it to recognize the new key. I have tried clicking on the attachment and copy and paste (without the asterisks). I haven't been able to try the fix for the split problem I was have because I am getting an error message, "failed to set data for attempt count", and I have to cancel to continue. It does copy the DVD but, at that point , it won't let me continue to split to the second disc. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried ver 5.0.2.2 yet also are you using the key for ver 4 or ver 5

I'm also getting a Runtime Error after upgrading to 5.0.2.2. I've done the clean uninstall, including the last two steps in Stormjumpers sig. Still getting the error. I'm running XP. I've seen only one other post with this problem. Any suggestions?

I am running 5.0.2.2 and I ask for the new key when I try to register. I check the 5.x box for the version I need. Should I do something else?
