It can merge 2 full disks, just merged 2 ISO's (all ready ripped to dvd5) from the hard drive and compressed them to one dvd5. Do not understand your question/problem. Both movies are now on one dvd5 disk, shows both titles and the chapters for each.

Could have sworn I read each of your posts in this thread about this, and I sure don't see where you ever said you read the Merge mode Guide, which is different from the Merge page in the tutorial. You can take every title from 2 discs and put them on one, but it is not a one-click process if that is what you're looking for. I was only trying to give you a quick solution to your question/problem (as I understood it), a mistake I assure you I will not repeat.

How do you disable this? I looked through all the settings & disabling this feature was not there. Is it not active unless you click on it?

Cannot be disabled AFAIK. I have not had any problems with discs burned with it in standalones, but still would like to be able to turn it off.

I have not found a setting option to disable this feature, I rip to hard drive and delete the file before burning.
I don't use the tags so don't want them on my backups not happy having to do a two step process but no choice if I want to use the new version

2 days ago I was getting responses back for my registration key fast. I tried un-installing version 4 to see if I can get version 5 registered but now I'm not getting a response for my registration number.

You need a key for each version, 4 & 5 so are you using the right key?

Did you upgrade your registration key to the new 5.x version?

I filled out my email address and have "DVDFab 5.x" selected in the version section. When I go to paste the new code from the email they send it still sends me to the register screen every time I open it.

And when you just do a double click on the key.dvdfab5?

Make sure you didn't copy the asterisk signs above and below the registration code on the new key email.

I am having a problem with this new ver....I can't do a 2 pass encode with ps3 option. It gets all the way to the end of 2nd pass then i get a message from windows "dvdfab console stopped working"? Tried several times with multiple dvds,and still same results. I did a clean uninstall-reinstall,still no luck!
So i decided to reinstall previous version (4.1.0.2) ran 2 pass for ps3 and it worked great!!! Any help would be appreciated,Thanks

I really like dvdfab and I have uninstalled and reinstalled 5.0.2.0 several times now and I am still having the same problems. It won't recognize the new registration key so it always runs in trial mode. When I try to split a dvd9 to two dvd5's it won't let me and now, when it finalizes the disc, I get a "failed to set data for attempt count" message. I am using Windows vista home premium. I am not a computer expert so I do not know how to do a lot of the things suggested in the forum but I have tried the ones I understood. I have used DVDfab for over a year now without any of these issues. I could use some help.

I was leaving the asterisk signs out. I just got off from work and started looking at the key itself and I guess my email was bugging out for some reason there was one in the middle of they key. I deleted it and it worked.

Have you tried sending off for a new reg key, maybe the one you got has been corrupt or something

I have done a clean uninstall/reinstall several times and each time I get my new reg key I copy and paste it without the asterisks. I have checked my DMA status and it appears to be correct.
I will contact cust support and request a new key.

Also are you sure that you are getting the ver 5 key and not the ver 4 ? There is an attachment that comes with the key email which is a key also, click on it and save some place and then all you have to do is double click on it and the program will reg. It would be a good idea for you to save the key either the numbers or the attachment to a floppy or something just in case you need it down the road

I have never did the copy & paste, I always just double click on the reg key and it does the rest

I did by email but the key that was sent was not accepted by dvdfab so I requested they send it again. Will let you know the outcome.
