DVDFab / DVD Region+CSS Free Discuss, DVDFab Platinum in Express Mode at Movie copy software forum; How the heck can I get the trial version of DVDFab Platinum out of extress mode? In express mode, I can't seem to find how to copy a DVD-9 using two single layer DVDs. So I want out of express mode. Besides, Express mode seems a bit too simple.

Re: DVDFab Platinum in Express Mode

Platinum includes two versions of Fab. Note that trial version is full featured as registered for 30 days.

(below if not selecting DL burn. Both are capable of DL burns)

- Express - only option is to fit to one dvd-5 disc. Uses necessary degree of compression to achieve. (they express as "quality")

- Gold mode - Splits original dvd to 2 dvd 5.

These versions after install/reboot of pc, offer two different program icons to start respectively. Sounds like from your post you want to start "Gold" mode.

Are you sure you are using the trial version of Platinum because it sounds like you are using the free version of DVDFab Decrypter which is a limited version of Express? Here is the download link:

Yeah, it sounds as though you downloaded either Fab Express or DVDFab Decrypter and not Fab Platinum. Personally, I'd uninstall, download and do a new install with platinum. Both applications will be enabled on reboot and unless you change the default settings, you should see an icon for each. I can't stand icons on my desktop...but that's just me.

Re: DVDFab Platinum in Express Mode

I'm guessing that you're using "Complete disc" mode...
Recently, there have been many more problems when copying "Complete disc" in express...relates to newer copy protection and disc structure. My first experience with this was with "Polar Express". Anyway, recommend that you copy "Main movie" in express, use your player to navigate the disc since the disc menu function is not an option now (the disc menu is part of the problem anyway).

If you want complete disc...I'd suggest AnyDVD and DVD Decrypter (or Img as the burn application) and burn to a DL...only way to go these days, esp. as the price of DLs continues to be more and more attractive. This combo will yield absolutely flawless Bkups...have done about 40 of 'em.
