DvdFab platinum with dvd region + css free

Hi: I am trying the trial version of DVD fab platinum. Used it to copy some Sony Movies with no problems...My questions are, will there be a user guide, pdf manual with the fully purchased dvd fab platinum software? I am also an owner of the dvd region + css free That I used in conjunction with Instantcopy. Will I no longer need Instantcopy and should I uninstall or deactivate dvd region + css free since dvd fab is supposed to decode and decrypt dvds? Is it necessary to convert a recently copied dvd to the ISO format before I burn it to a 4.7Gb disc?

Hi abbysian and welcome to the forum
region + css is no longer has been discontinued
if you you need info on how to use DVDFab Platinum read below

How to copy to a blank DVD Media Disc (FULL DISC MODE)
1.) Open DVDFab Platinum
2.) Put the DVD movie you are going to make a backup copy of into your DVD drive, the movie title will appear in the source drop down window
3.) In the target drop down window chose the location of your DVD Writer that will be used to do the burning of the disc
4.) At the bottom of the screen choose the size of the blank medics disc you will be using for the backup in the drop down window with the word Quality next to it, DVD5=compression and DVD9=no compression
5.) Depending on if you have one or two DVD Writers hooked to your computer,
a.) If you only have one DVD Writer connected to your computer then you will have to wait until the program has finished the copying process to your hard drive and then you will be asked to insert a blank media disc into the drive,
b.) If you have two DVD Writers connected to your computer put in the original disc into one of the DVD drives(making sure this drive is selected as the Source),
And put a blank media disc into your other DVD drive(making sure this drive is selected as the Target),
After the program reads and copies the movie from the DVD Drive that contains the original DVD disc the program will then start the burning process to the DVD Drive containing the blank media disc
6.) Click the start button at the lower right corner to start the process

Re: DvdFab platinum with dvd region + css free

Thanks for the info, Stormjumper. I have the one burner, so I usually save the movies on my HDD and delete them later, when I've made enough copies... Should I uninstall the DVD region + css free from my computer, or just leave it alone. Will both dvd fab plat and dvd region free running at the same time cause problems?

Hello again abbysian
leaving region free on your system is up to you would not have it running when using DVDFab Platinum since it does not need it running to do it's job, region free will still work for you just not with the newer codes that came out since the last update for it.
And having it on your system will not cause any problems

Re: DvdFab platinum with dvd region + css free

Hi abbysian,

Just to follow up on SJ's good advice.
It's not sufficient just to not run DVD Region + CSS Free when running platinum. It will reload and run in the background. I would do 1 of 2 things.
Either disable it in msconfig > Startup or uninstall it. (I've actually done both...eventually had to clean up and did a new os install a few months back)

If/when Fengtao is able to develop it and update it's decrypter, you can always reinstall it...just keep your regkey safely tucked away.
Do not run both apps, you'll have conflicts for sure...
