DVDFab Platinum 3.1.5.0 crashes on scan of DVDs - Club CDFreaks

I have several DVDs that when you start DVDFab Platinum 3.1.5.0, the program crashes after a few seconds while scanning the DVD.
Exception:

Code:0xc000000d
Flags:0x00000000
Record 0x..0
Flags 0x..07130e5

3.1.4.0 works fine on the same DVDs so the problem is with 3.1.5.0.

I tried things like reset DMA and disable preview but it still crashes.

I am also experiencing a similar problem with DVDFab 3.1.5.0 that I wasn't experiencing with 3.1.4.0. When I try to backup my region 4 copy of Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, DVDFab scans the DVD but then tells me that it encountered a problem and needs to close. This happens every time I try to open DVDFab for this disc.

Hi AtticusDonnie and Welcome to the forum. As I do not have either one of those movies I cannnot replicate your problem. But we will soon find out whether this is a bug or those movies are just a problem, what region are they if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks for the welcome! The DVD I'm having a problem with is a region 4 disc, and I was able to back it up with DVDFab 3.1.4.0. But now that I've updated to 3.1.5.0, DVDFab "encounters a problem and needs to close" every time I try open that disc in the program.

Hi AtticusDonnie,

Please send us all the .IFO files on Original disc, then we will check the problem.

A recommended way is listed below:
1) Open an Explorer window, and navigate to VIDEO_TS folder of the DVD.
2) Copy all files ending with .IFO to hard disk.
3) ZIP the IFO files on hard disk to one file. Name it with a readable filename, like Stealth_UK.zip.
4) Send the zip file to fengtao(at)dvdidle.com, you need replace (at) with @.

My fault I missed that. I cannot seem to find these 2 titles. Even if I did I am not in region 4. I am sure Fengtao will sort it quickly. He always does.
