| Re: DVDFAB Gold Write problem Hi maineman, The difference is bacause I loaded the other tools section to copy from image. I just want to show you the screen that i get. If I select the reglar copy mode, my screen looks exactly like yours. Can you please share the screenshot from your settings window when you are copying a DVD? Much appreciated. Thanks |

| Re: DVDFAB Gold Write problem Sure, I rarely use gold these days but here are the last settings I had for burning SLs. Also, I'm confused...I was reading your earlier posts and you said you ripped to your hdd in ISO with gold?...fab rips in file mode. Did you convert the files?

| Re: DVDFAB Gold Write problem Yeah, I think fino and I agree that you should trial DVD Region+CSS Free (even though it's not supported by fab) and if that fails, trial AnyDVD as well. I don't think Fengtao will be upset with me since his products don't support matshita. Use sonic for the whole process since it's already installed. I don't have a clue about how it will work... ![]() Good luck and let us know...fingers crossed... ![]() Ok, never mind the above advice...I'm just seeing your post #14 right now... ...sorry about that, it's a lot clearer now. I guess I need some sleep or more coffee...I think I'll go with the sleep...Still wish you luck... ![]()

| Re: DVDFAB Gold Write problem Hi Fino, Maineman, First to answer your question from Post# 32 - The DVD that I had was a region1 and the settop and disk drive are all region 1. As per a note added to the more info section for CSS and region free - In above mentioned case it would work. It would not be able to rip if there is a region code clash. Now, what I did yesterday - I own the Harry Potter 1 DVD and I used it to test. BTW the media I am using is SONY 16X DVD-R with Accucore. I beleive it is quite good. Anyway, I ripped the DVD through GOLD and made ISO image on HDD. This took 45minutes to rip (movie only) and 30 minutes each to write DISk1 iso and Disk2 iso. I beleive the drive read @ about 2X. I wrote the ISO to HDD as I have mentioed in my post before that the auto write to disk does not work. Then I used 3 programs to write the DISK1 ISO to the DVD. Gold took 60minutes to write disk1ISO and IMGBURN as well as SONIC took 30 minutes to write the same ISO file. I will try AnyDVD + Sonic method today and see how that works. I will Let you guys know. In the meantime, please feel free to post/ PM if you have questions. Thanks |

| Re: DVDFAB Gold Write problem Hi Guys, Here is a new problem I have run into. As promised, I installed the trial version of AnyDVD and ran my harry potter movie to create an iso file. I used Sonic to create a file. The file was was created in 45 minutes. But I got write errors from both Sonic and imgburn saying that file is too big for the media. I understand that, as I do not have a DL writer or media. I was wondering IMGburn should be able to handle that but probably not. Anyway, now I am running GOLD to write the same file and it is currently writing. I will let you know how it looks. Also, i was wondering if you know of a utility that is able to nicely split the ISO image from DVD9 to 2 images for DVD5.......Any thoughts?? |

| Re: DVDFAB Gold Write problem Hi aks1972, You can use a virtual drive software like Daemon to mount the image, then use DVDFab Gold to split the DVD. Best Regards, Fengtao
