Does anyone else have this problem?

Originally upgraded to 2.9.8.2 and it crashed the system with this message:

DVDFabGold.exe - Application Error

The application failed to inititialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Ever since this error I can not re-install 2.9.8.3 without getting the same message. I used Regseeker to clean the registry and that did not help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to redownload installer?

Yes I have downloaded the program several times.

I also received a .zip file from the suport team and it too resulted to a crash during installation. It appears 2.9.8.2 crash changed something in my system perhapse it corrupted one of the .ddl files. I really don't know. I am just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

First can you get to a restore point prior to your problem? If you can that is good news.

Second, I googled the error number and there is a fix C&P "There is a bug in W3SVC.dll that was introduced in a security patch. You'll need to contact MS-Support to get the fix. The kicker is that it is no longer free, so you 'll need to pay for it. The hotfix is Q873401."

Third bad news Microsoft wants $275.00 for the Hot Fix.
